The Belgian-Argentinan Conundrum

Day 2,763, 10:22 Published in Netherlands Germany by BaronVanZon

As some shouted earlier, alot of people were wondering what the whole Argentinan attack on Belgium was all about. Together with icurlybear, the Belgian president, Het Parool analyzes the war.

icurlybear, Belgium is currently occupied by Argentina, as many of our readers noticed already. What exactly brought this war on?

This "war" as you call it was really a one-sided fight. Argentina wanted a base of operation and Belgium was an obvious choice when it comes to an AS. We are neighbors to a bunch of countries. The small number of regions we have, also allows quickly closed wars.

It is said Belgium is just 'en route' to the UK, the real target in this campaign. Are there any agreements with Argentina to get back territory once the war with the UK has finished?

As said before, Argentina wanted an easy landing in the region. But we're indeed not the real target as their invasion in eUK can demonstrate. I've had communications with the Argentinian gov and they told me that as we are not their target, they'll try to free us as soon as possible. I'm hoping that'll be before congress elections.

I take it there will not be any RW's soon then?

Any RWs started without Argentina consent is doomed to fail in my opinion. Belgium just doesn't have the required military power to free itself and our allies, mainly eUK, is already busy defending their own countries or with other campaigns. As soon as I'm told the RWs can success we'll start freeing our regions, but not before that as we can't afford to waste 10k CC per failed RWs.

Thank your for your insights.
