Suggestions for newbies being inducted into Congress

I am not pro when it comes to politics but as someone once pointed out, I did quickly get into so called *closed group*, well not going to disturb that now, let me put in what I did in this game and what you could do.





1. Feel free to ask when you have some doubt, do not do things on your own for the first time even if you are damn sure that it is right, like some of our new members recently proposing laws without fully understanding. More about it latter.


2. Use proper language when you are talking/typing, usage of words like fools, idiots go well once you know people fully and have been in talks with them for sometimes but when you are criticizing them, these kind of offensives will effectively shut down the communication channel and whatever you say, even if it is a fact, might not matter.



3. Never get offensive about jokes on you, you can always retort in a light hearted manner.


4. Patience pays, believe me we talk shit in congress thread most times and have discussions which give out no results.(Yes I am sick of congress, too 😛) What to do, it's the nature of the world to be different, if all are like us, it will be boring after sometime.


5. Try to reason, yes, we can disagree but spend sometime to reason out with that person.







6. Don't drag on the discussions, avoid cat fights. I am tired saying this again and again but well can't help it 😛


7. Volunteer first, accept small tasks, deliver before you ask for more recognition.


8. NEVER PROPOSE LAWS ON YOUR OWN. Though older members can get away with it siting frustration, burnout n meh whatever, do not propose a law just because you can, or accept a citizenship request. Always discuss in congress before you do either of these, laws and CS passes are limited in number, do not waste them. Plus make sure you vote every law proposal.


9. Ask *What can I do?* *Can you give me some work* Most times you might not get a reply, or that reply might not materialize into action, it's just that this is a game, we might not have time to reply all personally, you will know it when you face the situation. Just speak something, even if it is saying, I agree or so on, it might be your first step.


10. Last and most important point, listen you your Party Presidents(even if they are kids 😛), remember, putting you into congress means they trusted you and your worthiness, lets not disappoint the one who trust us.

Well these are some, yes these are not path breaking or complex thing, to be honest, being congressmen is not that complex, just keep your ego outside the internet.
