Some important bits


A new Industry together with its correspondent New Resources will be added to the eRepublik Economy. Countries will be able to fight for the New Resources as part of a fresh Resource Wars event, starting in the following weeks. This remake of the 2015 Resource Wars will bring different rules to the table and a greater focus on strategy and balancing.

The new Industry will significantly change the way the battles are fought and allow new users to matter from their first days, without impacting the fun of the loyal players base.

Once the Resources are allocated and the event is over, bonus productivities of the regions will change, the rare resources regions will have better bonuses than the common ones.

Players’ Companies will no longer travel with them. Companies will be established on firm ground and benefit from the bonuses of the Region/Country they are based in. Taxes will be calculated accordingly and Companies will be subject to trade embargos once again. Players will get to decide where to base their current Companies


Ok so what can we read from this. A new resource that will allow a young player to matter from the start. So how do one make a young player matter over an established player? And that is not a weapon? if it where a booster its effect would be leveled out by everyone getting it. Except if the booster allows you to fight at a set higher strength for a few minutes. The older player would be over that strength. So no change for him. That could be 1 answer a set strength booster manafactured by players.

Magic? not very likely

Crafts? The west introduced crafts late in the game basically one used different resources to build a craft item that provided a boost to players. So maybe?

Group fighting ala objectives: In objectives numbers is more important . but still what would be the product not certain.

5 for food
5 for wrm and weps
5 for houses

Serbia currently have 8 regions. I know yes its kinda ridiculous

The USA currently will have 51 regions for a few weeks more as i really think most big countries should level the game on US shores ie take from the USA what the game wont give you.

Serbia has 32 (8 )original and (24) occupied regions

So last time we had to decide on how to fit 15 resources into 8 regions. Ireland how to fit 15 resources into 6 regions the usa how to fit 15 resources into 51 regions and uruguay how to fit 15 resources into 1 region.

no added regions will be added to the game.



So last time SERBIA chose 4 WRM resources 2 FRM resources and 2 HRM resources.


The rest they get from occupying regions. Serbia will chose the rarest resources.

But we dont even know whether there will be a good market for the new resource? Housing again?

The rest they will rent probably. Really a shot in the dark again?


Factories will no longer travel with you and you will be able to determine a base for all of your factories.

Which will be determined how? If your choice is limited to your actual country you life in most players will then permanently lose out?

Since there will be resource wars we must assume that citizenship will still be required to determine where you place your factories.

If your Irish and is bound to 6 regions you will forever tie your factories to bad bonuses. Lock in bad bonuses for ever.

That is why I moved to Serbia because I want to base my industries current and future in the most profitable country. Them USA is totally insane as regards taxes so is not a good choice besides the fact that they will have all resources. If your industry is in a certain region where do you pay taxes? That is why if you havent migrated before your economic game is done for. If your in the USA
your locking in on their crazy government forever. Players with only aim to suck the country dry to enjoy their own game. If your in Ireland your country cannot chose a rare resource so your locked in on bad bonuses forever I would suggest 5 wrm and 1 of the new resource or 5 food and 1 wrm. So for 2 countries we can see the effect of locking in regions. I still dont know how everything will work. Perhaps to big an update? Will you lock your factory to only 1 region? So say rubber is 100% bonuses and aluminium is 20%. I see many warning lights for small countries :city bonuses no all tycoons based in other countries. For tycoons in small countries: do you argue away your own industry to give your own country some decent taxes.

Anyway to much is unknown. Do you really want such a significant update with no beta feedback? The west has a beta world where there is no limits and anything goes.


Currently with all bonuses locked in and an extra 20% from the tycoon pack I get 103000 wrm per day and 15000 q1 food per day.

I really dont know if investing another grind in new resources will be profitable or interesting.
