Some Ideas - Guilds

I've got an idea , maybe someone will pick up something from it.
Establishing guilds, examples: raw material producers guild, food producers guild, weapons producers guild..
I believe that those guilds would work best for those who are still in the process of creating a self sustainable economy.
The market is cruel ,if you dont have multis or well standing friends to help.
By sticking together Guild members have better chance of 'survival' and progress.
Historically guild members have always helped a member who needed help.
In eRep it would be a help in food, weapons or money - tho paying attention that the help is not abused.
For that purpose serves the treasurer, trusted guild member, who would safeguard the treasury which is to be filled (if Guilders decide so) with weekly/monthly membership fee 50cc/100cc or whatever the sum Guilders set.
There's also a possibility of making a Newspaper Guild, which would operate in a different way. Sharing informations maybe?
Who knows, there's no limits.
If created , Guilds would benefit their members - Irish citizens,making them stronger thus making Ireland stronger.

Happened here in v1. Was widely crticised for market fixing and cartel style.

I doubt that smaller producers are capable of market fixing, especially now when you have a ton of big ones.
Focus ,at least in scenario I have in mind ,would be trying to make the best out of already fixed (tho constantly changing) market.

I'm not sure how well a completely raw materials,etc guild would be but I really like the idea. I think the most effective guild would be one that involves say 1 raw materials, 1 producer and 1 fighter. so basically they all agree on a standard fee. So raw materials person sells raw at an agreed price to the producer (eg: 100IEP) then producer sells to Fighter for a slight increased price. Then it's up to the fighter to sell them or use them. Basically it creates a private market between all the participants meaning they all make a decent profit without having to worry about market changes.
However I'm not economical genius so I'm not sure how effective this would be but you could expand it to multiple producers, rm etc all working in the same private market of the guild.
I really like the idea of the newspaper guild too. Great way to share information especially if the players aren't from the same country.

However I dont think it would fully make the Guild independent from the markets.What would keep the fighter/buyer from buying cheaper products than those products with price previously set by the Guild?
Maybe a steady influx of products at a slightly lower price ,still high enough for the producers to make profit out of it.
I dont think that buyers should be a part of the Guild. That ofc wouldnt prevent them from buying the products from it.
Contract that will regulate the price and amount of products ,which would be revised weekly or monthly, would connect those two entities and still leave room for them to use markets as they see fit.
Yes not including the buyer is an option but say replace the fighter with an MU or mercenary group that need a large amount of tanks on a daily basis (A couple of hundred) . It would be cheaper to be buy it on a mass scale from the guild rather then on a mass scale from the market.
Wtf is this WoW? Nah, I'm kidding. Seems like a good idea, hopefully one of the economy wizards could make something out of this

Aye. It's damn near impossible to be new and start up a successful or even a semi-successful business. Was just thinking of something along these lines.
