Romania on the Brink of Elimination!

Day 1285

North America
The Americans continue their dominance against Mexico; controlling all but two of their regions. A resistance has started in the Southeast of Mexico, which contains rubber. This is obviously the prize of Mexico, and the reason why the United States has continued to control Mexico.
Spain, having pushed the United States out of the Iberian Peninsular, countered with an attack on the eastern seaboard, focused in Virginia. Not surprisingly, they were met by a brick wall, as the Americans successfully defended their region.

Western Europe
The United States captured the Canary Islands away from Spain. I will admit to not understanding this maneuver. By taking the Canary Islands, America has closed the war between Brazil and Spain. This means, the two allied nations can no longer attack Spain from multiple sides. The advantage to this however, is that they can now focus more damage into a single battle. America currently controls Castilla y Leon, providing them with an Iron region. Look for an attack on Cantabria, as this will sever the Spanish Capital from the rest of their regions, devastating their economy.

Germany is still almost entirely occupied by Poland, and the UK, Canada and Ireland continue to battle. However, this is a contained war, and has no real repercussions to the rest of the world.

Eastern Europe
Romania is getting boned by both Poland and Hungary. The two ONE nations have teamed up to double team Romania, and are seeing great success. The Romanian economy is currently in shambles, as Poland has cutoff the Capital. With only three regions remaining, and two of them under attack (and losing badly), we should be looking at a battle to keep Romania on the map this weekend. The only question is which nations gets to attack their final region.

Also of note in this region is the Treaty signed by Croatia and Serbia. It’s a simple non-aggression pact, and allows for both nations to receive foreign holdings. Whether those other nations play along, remains to be seen. This move, could allow Croatia to focus on fighting Macedonia, and trying to liberate some of the Italian regions, under their control. Time will tell.

Southeast Asia
Indonesia was on Wipe Alert earlier this week, however, they rallied and managed to turn back both Australia, and China. Now, they have completely turned the tables and have captured all but two of the Aussie’s regions. Indonesia may be gunning for a full wipe of Australia, as payback for what Australia pulled off earlier. And, to prove that Indonesia is still a relevant world power.

Overall Analysis
The most interesting thing in my opinion, is the peace treaty between the Serbs and Croats. These battles have acted as a huge distraction, and damage drain, as neither of them have been able to sustain any real dominance over the other. This will allow those nations to pursue other fronts, and to send more support to their allies.
