Pulling together
CiTyZeN kHAn
Welcome to another edition of the eUK.
It has occurred to me that there is a lot of divide in this wonderful community, and this divide is causing great disturbances. The eUK is in times of need, and these times of need, there is an even greater cause for sticking together, and working as a team. The simple truth is we need to stick together, and if we don't, we will never get out of this Argentinian mess.
Sir Humphrey Appleby
I've been hearing many people call this man a traitor. I've also been hearing people criticise his every decision. First of all, he is not a traitor, and he has done the best for our country. If he didn't pay to get those territories back, then we would still be wiped. Do you really think we would have won a RW on our own? If we did, we would probably get wiped soon later anyway! His method of diplomacy rather than savage caveman fighting is better than many tactics that I have seen others think of. Now we have two territories, we can hopefully collect more tax revenues, and get back the £50,000 that we lost. We didn't even lose it to be honest, since he payed it out of his own pocket. He did all of this for us, and yet we all call him a traitor? He should be classed a national hero. We can do so much more as a nation, since we are not wiped. I can actually invite friends of mine here, without them saying "Bruh, there is no UK, why should I join?". Please, stop trying to defeat each other! We need to pull together as a nation, and finally free ourselves fully from "The Argies". If you are in TUP, then you may have noticed I have stood up for Party President.
I will shortly be publishing an article in which I describe why I want to stand for Party President, and then soon PM. Thank you for your support!

Well done and good luck.
You seem pretty cool. o/
Thanks!
To win a RW against Argentina would have cost far more than 50k in COs. Like you, I believe that Appleby did the right thing - getting the UK back on the map as quickly and painlessly as possible. Regardless of whether you believe his actions were right or not, getting our country back on the compass is hardly a "traitorous" action.
Good article

I agree - Appleby did do the right thing under the difficult circumstances. It would have been easier to simply continue to fruitlessly funf RW after RW to no avail - but he chose the practical solution over the popular one.
Appleby is a solid and dependable loyal servant of the eUK - and should be recognised as such.
He had a more solid and substantial plan than what was offered by his critics which amounted to a load of hot air coupled with nothing resulting in a plan of absolute nowt.
