Possible Conflict with Croatia: Securing Elections

Edit 3:

It's the 23rd of the month and we do not have a border with Croatia still, so all seems well for now. I am not sure how big our Congress will be, but we have regions and will survive.

Edit 2:

Upper Austria is now under attack by Serbia, and if they succeed we will have no border with Croatia, and that will make our life a lot better.

Edit 1:

Croatia is currently busy attacking Poland in Slovenian territory:

So we have a little more time with respect to that. We also now share aborder with Croatia directly, as we won our resistance war in Southern Bohemia.

Original Article:

So, after the Croatian Congress proposed an NE proposal against us, it seems that they voted that proposal down, but in the midst of things, we have unfortunately voted up a retaliatory NE proposal up in our own Congress. This is fairly problematic, and shows the importance of holding onto your vote where possible of course. Here is the map we have to work with:

Serbia is on track to take Western Slovakia from Croatia, so that gets rid of a border there. The region of Upper Austria however is still owned by Croatia, and it is adjacent to Southern Bohemia, which is currently owned by Poland, but will soon belong to us again due to a resistance war. And of course, there is always the possibility of an airstrike (though that seems like it would be unnecessarily expensive for the Croatians to do.)

On top of strategic considerations, our MPP with Serbia is expiring in 3 days, and elections are in 3 days. So what is the best way to secure elections?

One option we have is to try to turn around the resistance war in Southern Bohemia and try to win it for Poland, though failing at a resistance war means having to wait to do another one there for a while, and wasted gold for those invested in it. Poland can try to help us cut off Croatia from sharing a border with us, but things have to happen fast.

We also have the option to explain to Croatia what happened, and to ask very nicely that they don't attack us if they do have a border with us. We can argue that it would interfere with the TW agreement we have with Poland, and that it would be in Croatia's interests to not start a fight against them.

If nothing else though, we must expect the worst case scenario and try to prepare for it. Gather up materials and prepare for a fight.

Good luck to us.

Best,
Milos
