Placement of resources:Strategy

Country Viewpoint
How will where you place your resources affect your bonuses. Lets say we decide on 2 regions for placing all 6 our resources 3 in Dublin and 3 in Cork.

I am leaning more and more towards the notion that regional bonuses might not happen or will be insignificant.

First off Dublin and Cork will be key. Lets say we are attacked we can ignore all regions. Let them take Wexford, Louth , Shannon and Mayo. It wont affect your bonuses. So that is the strategy I think Plato is referring to.

But we can put all of our CO's into the Dublin Cork battles.

Or lets say we can place WRM uncommon common very common and rare or very rare in one region. Making either rare or unrare impossible to place in the other regions. So lets say Wexford as our capital should get all resources . And then we place 1 each of the other resources in other regions. In this scenario we have max 75%-70% bonuses by defending wexford. Meaning this way we distribute our resources to make 1 key area to defend.

We can of course place 1 resource per region and make it not that attractive to own. Then we basically have to defend all 6 regions or 4 heavily to keep our wrm bonuses.

In my opinion teh 4 to 2 split is the best plan. Defend heavily and CO Wexford and keep the other region kind of a 2nd priority.

Citizen Viewpoint

How will where I place my factories affect my bonuses. Its easy if we take the viewpoint that there will be either no or little regional bonuses . Place all your WRM factories in the WRM region WEXFORD. That way your covered even if there is regional bonuses. Secondly place all your "New" factories in the other region. I assume we will try and get these resource as food is profitable but houses aint. We could see closer to the roll out what the resource will be and then I assume the resource will be rolled out before we chose regions . But we will know from the 6th of May what the new resource will be.

All other resources place in your main region WEXFORD ie resources with no bonuses. For the simple reason this will be your most heavily defended region.

As I see it the strategy in placement relies on what resources is available where. if your region is occupied you will lose all bonuses of resources in that region. All your eggs in one nest effect. If you lose a no resource region. Your bonuses will remain unaffected. but if you lose a no resource region and had factories in it your link to your countries bonuses is severed meaning in that factories you dont get resource bonuses. Say we have WRM resources in Wexford and i place all my wrm factories in Dublin there is 2 conditions for me to get resources.

1. Dublin even if its a no resource region must be unoccupied
2. Wexford must remain unoccupied.

if I lose either region I do not get the WRM bonuses.

However if all my factories is in Wexford my requirements is

1.Wexford must remain unoccupied.

This is all dependent on what the updates actually is. But I think that is what Plato means with strategy. That a country will have key and non key areas.

Which will be good for small countries as they can unite their fights in 1 region.
