Personal opinion about the conflict with Cyprus

Before you read this article please note that this article is just an expression of my own opinion. It has nothing to do with neither my country nor its citizens. This is my opinion as a citizen of Israel, not as the country president! I will take full responsibility for any decisions will be made after this article regarding the topic.

After the previous Greek government decided to create an alliance together with Serbia, the Greek community split into two parts; A majority of citizens that support the entrance of Greece into an alliance with Serbia (and other nations) and citizens (or better say military units) that disagree with this action (they prefer to be with countries like Turkey & Croatia).

At the beginning of the current presidential term, Greece has signed on a NAP with Cyprus. The Greek government agreed not to attack Cyprus if Cyprus attacks a third country. Nothing was agreed about helping an ally of Greece against Cyprus.

Few days later Cyprus proposed Israel as natural enemy and the Greek government issued a statement saying that Greece will not take part in the conflict between Israel & Cyprus.

Israel has been a loyal ally of Greece for years. We've never betrayed our allies and our community sees Greece as the best friend of Israel. We were surprised to found out about this statement. We predicted that the war between Cyprus and Israel is also going to be a war between Greeks.

On the day of The Cypriot NE on Israel and when the resistance war in Northern Borders has already opened by Peru forces, the Greek government asked Israel to liberate Al Jawf and Northern Borders in order to let Peru take the regions. We had no other option because we were already loosing in Northern Borders. Of course that we didn't resist to this action as we have an agreement about those territories.

There is a constant conflict between Greece and Cyprus. There are months in which the Greek government decides to conquer Cyprus and some months in which it prefers to keep Cyprus free.

However, as the Greek community is divided, Greeks were fighting in both sides, for Cyprus and also for Israel, according to their point of view. Israel lost the first battle and unfortunately, citizens that fought for us in the past were now fighting against us.

According to Asteria's charter a country shall not have a NAP with a country that is currently attacking other Asteria/Leto country. When Israel asked to discuss about the topic with the HQ of Asteria/Leto, the answer was as follow: "This solution will have to come from Greece"

I am very disappointed from the management of the current HQ and the Greek government. What have Israel done that it deserves such a treatment? Hasn't Israel been loyal to its allies? Did we betray our allies?

I believe that this attitude stems from the fact that Israel is a small country without a strong military force. Eventually countries in this game are rated according to their military power and not loyalty.

To the Greek country president I would like to say that I'm very disappointed from you. Israel has been a loyal ally of Greece. Aren't we good enough for you? You decide not to take part in this conflict against a country you use to occupy most of the time. We freed regions as you asked us for. We have done everything to help you.

I would like to mention that I've nothing against Greek citizens, I respect you, but I do have problems with the management of the current government.

To the Greeks that still support Israel in this conflict (and there are many of them), I would like to thank you for not forgetting your allies. Thank you for trying to do your best keeping us on the map. Our people salute you.

To Asteria/Leto HQ I would like to say that ignoring a country is not the right way to build a brotherhood. We didn't complain about not getting a military support, but for not paying attention to our conflict with Cyprus. We are willing to be a part of this alliance and get the respect we deserve.
