Party animal #9 - UKRP

Everything seems a little boring at the moment, don’t you think? So what better time to put an article out into the otherwise morgue-like eUK media - it’s bound to get maximum attention.


The eUK. Yesterday.

What’s that you say? A revo-what? Big-who? Oh.

Fair enough. But just in case there are one or two of you out there not tying yourself up in knots about the whole What On Earth Should We Do question, here’s a little report on my latest party-hop.


UK Reform Party


My spectacular entrance (stop with that whole italicising innuendo thing - ed.) into UKRP was dominated by a frankly unprecedented flurry of activity. Granted, most of this revolved around locking the drinks cabinet, hiding the drinks cabinet, emptying the drinks cabinet or pretending that there was never a drinks cabinet in the first place. Hail Astrid did an excellent job of diverting my attention while the rest of the party seemed to shuffle a large wooden object that made dubious clinking noises out of view. And then Adastros hurled some abuse in for good measure.

Once things had settled down a bit, I started to have a rummage around.

UKRP is, as you’d expect, a good party. Lots of activity. Lots of lulz on the party feed. A sprinkling of extracurricular activity (Oi! - ed.). And enough srs bsns to make it look like they’re involved in stuff. I never did quite work out what their Rome: Total War thingy was about, but they seem to like it.

One thing of particular note - they’re a pretty mobile group. Lots of people seem to come and go, pretty much as they please. UKRPers visit, troll and generally check up on other parties, which is a healthy thing to do. As the self-appointed, short-term, temporary king of party hopping, there’s a lot to be said for checking out other parties and stealing their ideas taking inspiration from them. So a Facebook “like” style thumbs up to UKRP for that.

I would tell you more, but for some reason eRep has chosen to blank out the UKRP party feed for me from 3 to 13 days ago. It could be a bug, or perhaps I managed to break into the party drinks cabinet and then blacked out for 10 days. Not sure, but I do know that stuff DEFINITELY happened during that 10 days, and I recall thinking that it was good.



Incidentally, as a very active party UKRP get an impressive score on the still-patented Patented VoodooMike71 Party Feed Activity Score Rating Thing…


So that was the end of my penultimate-but-one Party Animal party hop. Thanks to UKRP for making my stay such a pleasant and comfortable (and dry) one. It's been a blast.

Next stop the UK’s second ranked party UKPP who are, no doubt, basking in their recent Congress election result.
