Our battle of Saratoga

A bit of backgroun😛 On October 7th, 1777, British general John Burgoyne surrendered to the Continental Army following the Battle of Saratoga. This prompted the French to aid the revolution with supplies, a navy, foot soldiers, and the expertise of Marquis de Lafayette. This victory signaled the beginning of the long end for British holdings in North America.

We face a similar situation in our eWorld today. Hungary has made some foolish mistakes and is being devoured from all sides, and in anger over the lack of assistance in their conflict from their allies, has quit the Asteria Alliance. Being a founding member and a major damage contributor, this has dealt a serious blow to the power of Asteria.

Given this situation, I say, CARPE DIEM! Seize the day! We think of the major conflict as being between Asteria and Sirius, but in doing so, we forget that there is another alliance, one that could potentially shift the balance of power depending on who it sides with. This alliance is Aurora and it is composed of 7 nations, many of which we have friendly ties to. I say we utilize the opportunity of the surrender of Hungary to convince Aurora to become allied with Sirius. They can see that Asteria is not built on strong ties and that they do not make reliable allies. In addition, they have just lost a major damage source, so they are less able to help even if they wanted to! If Aurora sides with us, we can finally wage a war against Serbia on their own turf and WIN. For the first time in my elife and maybe the first time ever, America will set foot in Serbian native lands and present them with 50 calibers of freedom and 1500 calories of doughnut bacon cheeseburger goodness.

But this glorious vision will only become reality if we can ally Sirius with Aurora and march arm in arm against Canada Serbia, then we will become the dominant force in the world, and show all our enemies, especially CANADA, that they must recognize that they will never be superior to us by fighting like this

And so I urge you to urge Wild Owl and the rest of the US participants in Sirius HQ to push for extending a hand to Aurora.

A new day will dawn with Sirius in the Sky lit by the Aurora of Earth. Let this be our Battle of Sartoga, where we turn the tide by convincing allies to join our side. Hungary has fallen, CARPE DIEM!
