Hello my children.

I thought I'd get a little something off my chest here in regards to all of the bickering and childish antics that I've seen over the past few... years. Yes I may just do some two-clicking and put up some comics here and there, but I feel I need to say this.

There has been an attempt to kick Discrate1/DocterDry out from his position as the eAustralian CP. On what grounds I hear my non-eAustralian children/readers ask? On the grounds that he is not a popular player. He hasn't done anything wrong at the moment; the impeachment attempt was done purely out of spite - in my opinion. Why isn't he popular I hear my non-eAustralian children/readers ask?

Because Discrate1/DocterDry voiced his opinion many times, much to the irate of people.

What annoys me about this impeachment is that it mirrors the former impeachment of Discrate1/DocterDry when he won the CP race a while ago. While people will argue that "he was impeached because he sucks" is false - in my opinion - he wasn't given enough time to prove that he sucked. I'm not standing here saying that Discrate1/DocterDry was the greatest CP eAustralia ever had - because people did not give him the chance to put his money where his mouth is. It's hard to say that Discrate1/DocterDry was a bad CP when he didn't last time to be a bad CP - in my opinion.

Discrate1/DocterDry has the balls (as do other people) to say what is on their mind. If he wants to say he likes something, he is entitled to say it. If he wants to say he hates something, he is entitled to say it. It's called an opinion - everyone's got 'em... like assholes! Opinions can lead to personal attacks if they are actually a personal attack.

Question: Which of the following is a "personal attack".
A. I'm not a big fan of Mr. President's war policy. It doesn't make sense that we should be attacking eNew Zealand when we should be providing assistance to our allies in eEurope.
B. The new budget is good, but I think that there isn't a need to raise taxes that high. We already have a lot of money sitting in the bank so continuing to overcharge our citizens is a bit pointless.
C. Man our current CP is a douche! He's probably some jerk in real life whose wife is a big hooker and his kids aren't even his kids! The idiot can't even keep a job because he's so bad!

I've been around this game for a very long time and I've seen it all from the old guard and the new guard. When someone didn't like a policy and voiced their opinion, they were targeted as a vicious, vile fiend who hated everyone. In my opinion, I think it's good when people don't think as one. Conflict can be a good as it raises issues and challenges that in turn could lead to better improvements.

But no, people assume that they are under personal attack when something they do is challenged. I'm not taking a shot at one particular CP, I'm talking about all CPs in generals. There have been CPs and Senators who have acknowledged people's opinions and brushed them off as, wait for it, an opinion! Sadly, there's been more CPs and Senators who takes everything everyone says personally.

People don't like Discrate1/DocterDry because they take his opinions on policies as personal attacks. Believe it or not, I actually get along well with Discrate1/DocterDry. Why? Because I don't take everything he says personally. If I actually thought Discrate1/DocterDry was attacking someone personally, I'd think every single one of you were attacking each other personally.

A good example of opinions relate to my comics. I know that there are people who don't like my comics. They tell me they don't like them. I get people telling me that they want my old articles and dinner interviews back. I even get told by some that all of my work sucks.

You know what I do? I accept their criticism as - an opinion. It's their opinion about my comics and my entertainment, it isn't a personal attack that they are launching. I get along very well with certain people who HATE my work. Again, it all has to do with me seeing their opinion on my comics as an opinion on my comics - not as an attack on me personally.

That’s all I really have to say about this little impeachment. If you’re going to impeach someone do it because they suck at their job, not out of spite. And if you’re going to impeach them, please let us all know about your opinion as to why you want them out. Hiding behind the excuse “I have a right to impeach him just because, I don’t need to give you a reason” isn’t a good excuse – in my opinion.

And if you don’t agree with this article, you’re more than welcome to do so. You can hate and rage and argue all you want about my stance and I’ll be ok with that. I’m not going to see it as a personal attack.
