OMG THIS POLITICAL DRAMA I JUST CAN'T STAND IT

Day 2,170, 14:11 Published in USA USA by Oblige

First there was this: Artela's "Answering Questions"

Then there was this: Israel Steven's "Because You Deserve a Debate" - OMG SHOTS FIRED!

Followed by this: Artela's "A Surprising Turn of Events" - DRAMATIC COUNTER!

And now most recently Israel Steven's "So Here's the Deal" - OMG TOO MANY ARTICLES!

All of which are excellent articles by the by and it would be worth your time to read them; but, by now you're probably wondering which would be better, an actual Presidential race between two of our very well established multi term Presidents with track records of success or a dramatic race to the bottom with an all out multi-party presidential free for all?

Isn't this exciting!

I had a conversation once with a notable American who made the following observation.
[15:32:28] I know why you spent all that cc trying to save these guys ***es. But the eUSA is like a drug addict. It **wants** to kill itself.

The consensus coming up to this Presidential Election seems to be as follows:

Let's throw experience out the window!
• We just did beat the PTO this month - NOTHING BAD COULD EVER HAPPEN NOW!
• We certainty don't have a significant number of regions occupied by enemies in a tentative agreement - which is obviously unbreakable!

---

Sigh.

---

One of the things I've always been most proud about in regards to the eUSA is the fact that as a community we can, from time to time, stand united on things like opposition to the PTO, or support for our allies in an important battle, or even the occasional Presidential candidate. There is something to be said about Unity, and even though it has become a toxic word lately I refuse to shy away from it.

It is crushing me that rather than duke it out between each other our two candidates are trying to oh-so-honorably step aside to make way for "fresh talent."

Bull. Shit.

I am reminded of a quote by Captain Jack Sparrow:
"Me, I'm dishonest, and you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly, it's the honest ones you have to watch out for."

How has it come to this? When did we, as a nation, become so enamored with living life on the edge? We know how this turns out! AND IT'S AWFUL!

But why not? After all, it's just one click.
