Chers Belges,

Well said!
Alles goed !
correction, dutch translation of "well said" should be "goed gezegd" or "goed gesproken"
so don't count on google translate to make sense.
I sometimes have the same problems when translating french.
Otherwise i would have done some more effort in giving multiple languages in some articles(ATO-news, MoFUN,...etc)
was joking 😛 Alles goed = everything is ok, geen probleem 😃
ok
but you can see how a little translation problem can change an article completly
Nice job Frankie. Good luck with the paper! V+S
It's not that easy to find active people willing to take a job as secretary.
Sometimes we need to hurry with articles and don't have time to wait for a translation.
yes but you can translate an article after you post it. Even it is several days after the post of the article it's very important
or even Google Translate it and then adapt a little the translation 🙂
In the past the government did take such efforts, but it clearly could not last as it eventually turned all english again.
I would help out if a dutch translation if needed.
And then they have to hope i have enough time to complete these translations.

btw: Good article(your first). 😉
thanks !
Problem is that currently we lacks of active people 😛. We used to have a translation team, but yeah translations usually took a couple of days which is not something the gov can always afford (although it is often the case).

Nice start! 🙂 I've been translating all of my government articles myself before, but I got demotivated by the time it took me (and some boredom, I must admit). Now I'm keeping it at talking to people in their mother language in PM's.
Hope you get enough support, some Dutch and French in articles are always nice to read. 😉

Mooi intrede, houden zo!

Voted, and it is a good start to your paper, but we do have many people in eBelgium who speak neither French nor Dutch, so English has been the primary means of communication here for a long time. However, your point is well taken and understood. I agree that articles could be edited to add translations when time is a concern; however, it is still needed to have people who can and will make those translations in a timely manner.
One year ago, Programme, BelgiumGeneral and I created a tri-lingual Ministry of Defense.
I know that also the Ministry of Education issued tri-lingual articles.
But that has gone with the wind which swept through eBelgium...
The problem is that English is the language used by the government and in international relations. Part of the government doesn't speak, not even understand, either French or Dutch: in order to get a tri-lingual ministry, you actually need 3 active Ministers instead of 1.
I did it trilingually but seeing but translation just took so much time considering the length of the articles...
I think also you that it's very difficult to have eich article in the 3 languages but it's very important that the important articles over war orders (ex. not fight for belgium because we don't will a congress) also in french and dutsh must are, and so every player now that we don't fight for belgium
That is a good point, and indeed since those articles for MoD are mostly templated anyway, that should not be too difficult to do.

Damn you Google translate 🙂
