Hello to everyone

Since this is my first article in the eUSA i will start with a short introduction

As you can see my nickname ingame is biiis 
On irc, that is on rizon server my nickname is biis – one –i less than ingame.

RL im Slovenian. I played for eSlovenia from my e-birth to aproximately mid october 2011. During this time i was a member of PVS (http://www.erepublik.com/en/main/group-show/343) the first eSlovenian military unit. I was a platoon leader in V1 and then in HQ of the unit for another year or so. I can confidently say that those times especially V1 were the best i had in this game. But also later it was very good. I still miss those gals and guys and leaving them was one of the hardest e-decisions i ever had to make. Truthfully it was a hard decision also in RL terms, since a lot of my time and energy was spent building up the unit and then later running it.

As for my national and international role, well i was a MoFA, MoF, MoD, ambasador of eSlovenia in several terms. I was an ambasador to eGermany for half a year, where i also made lots of friends.
The reason why i am pointing this out, is that i was faced with a choice when ONE was being formed. At that time ePoland and eGermany had come to an agreement over renting several eGerman regions. eSerbia was supposed to guarantee this agreement, since eGermany was its ally and ePoland wanted to become one. Then the LAND bridge rule was introduced and ePoland broke the agreement and eSerbia did nothing to »enforce« said agreement. That was the first time i ever thought about leaving eSLovenia. Since we were faced with a decision, either stand with eGermany or let it slide and stand with eSerbia. With a very heavy heart and lots of saddnes i »pushed« our government to stand with eSerbia and abandon eGermany. It was my view, that since eSerbia was our longest standing ally and best friend, that we should continue down that path.
The situation was pretty complicated at that time, since eSlovenia gave its full military potential in the first 6 rounds of battle of eGermany vse Poland. And eGermany was actually leading with 5:1, also probably due to some heavy tanking for eGermany. After the 6th round it was decided to stop supporting eGermany. I have no delusions, that a war against ePoland could have been won in the long term, but it would have been more difficult for them to occupy eGermany. At that point it was decided that eSlovenia will not send its troops to fight for eGermany, but it was also decided, that eSlovenia will not support any actions against eGermany.
That left us with a strained relationship with ePoland, which actually escalated during eSlovenian first offensive against eItaly. The night of the 12 RWs. When eSpain, eCroatia, ePoland and eItaly sent their troops to RW our occupied regions in eItaly, eGermany and eAustria.
That is still the record for most regions lost in 24 hours in erepublik  and it will probably never be broken again, since the admins changed the rule of RWs shortly after that.

Oh small insert, WELCOME TO A WALL OF TEXT


During my ePolitical carrier i was allways a strong supporter of the proONE stance. With an emphasis on supporting eSerbia, eHungary and eMacedonia, these countries i counted as the best friends of eSlovenia. I also allways inserted eGermany here, since they had shown themselves to be true and best friends to us. That is ofcourse before we left them down.
In the beginning of the formation of ONE i was in favour that eSlovenia joins this new alliance, but with time, i saw that all that matters are is the MPP system, which eSlovenia had a clear ONE and proONE. So i changed my point of view and was a stern supporter of proONE. Which left us officially out of the alliance, but in reality since we shared the same MPP system as every ONE member we were very much a part of ONE alliance.
And this is where my problems with ONE or to put it better with ePoland started to occur. Every action that was undertaken served ePoland best. The ping-pong wars between hungary-romania, serbia-croatia, macedonia/turkey-greece/bulgaria, spain-brazil/USA and UK-canada/USA, all of which served one basic purpose. ePoland had its max bonuses and the priority of ePoland was to maintain those bonuses, no matter the cost, even if that meant that eSerbia be erased.
To be honest, eSloevenia also flourished during those times, with a max of bonuses for a short period of time (80/100). But i somehow believe, that we still helped our allies. I remember a series of RWs, where we liberated several eSpanish regions or an all in commitment to defending eSerbia.


So enough of the general history

During this time, that is the better part of 2011 i was starting to miss something in our community. Lots of players i knew from V1 had quit, and the general feel of our community was starting to feel weird. Because of this and because i really believed i could turn the tide, i decided to run for ePresident of eSlovenia. Was it a correct desicion or not, i cant honestly answer that. I felt it was time, but i could and probably should have invested more energy and time during my mandate. I also failed at making myself clear on one very important subject, which later in mid term resulted in a government crisis, for which i take the full responsibility.

To keep it short, i failed. All that was built up in V1, we had somehow lost over time. The result was, that our unity was somehow »lessened«. The efforts, which were mandatory in V1 had somehow become a burden and suddenly everyone just wanted to get funds from the government, without the slightest effort made from their side. That bothered me, it still does today. And it will probably bother me as long as i play this game. Also i remember the congress of V1. Active players, that did what they were supposed to do. They asked lots of questions and demanded answers, but in the end, they held their positions with a responsibility which somehow has been forgoten nowadays.

All of that summoned up, resulted with me being incredibly frustrated at the end of my mandate as CP on 6th october 2011. The final push came, when suddenly everyone was stealing BHs from eachother and accusing of stealing gold and currency without providing any shred of proof.
At that point, i decided to leave and i moved to eGermany where i started to 2 click away. At that time i also erased my entire friends list consisting of about 1400 people. I simply didnt want to look at those shouts any more.
Something was however still not absolutely right. I still had to many emotional ties to eGermany, and i couldnt detach myself completely. So a decision was made, to move to a country, where i know virtualy nobody, which would allow me a fresh start.
And since i had USA CS, due to bonuese, i looked around a bit and decided to join UltraMarines. The decision was made mainly due to Artela, which i had come to respect in the past, although i never had any direct contact with her.

So here i am. A member of the Ultramarines. And a fighter for USA. Or to put it even better, nowadays i hunt BHs, simply because i need the gold, those damn upgrades are costly.

Im not perfect, i have many flaws, i have made many mistakes and i am absolutely sure that i will make many more of them.
So in the end, something which i have made a moto for myself in this game.
- Nobody is perfect, we all make mistakes, just make sure not to repeat them
- More people know more, nobody knows everything
- Play this game with respect, and others will respect you
