MY JOURNEY

Day 3,061, 06:09 Published in Switzerland Canada by Lady Silver

Good Day!

The past several months have been difficult for me as I was diagnosed with Fuchs' Corneal Dystrophy and was losing my sight. Thankfully it is treatable with surgery. On January 19 I received donor cornea cells and the surgery on my right eye was a success. I cannot see close up with my right eye now, But that can e corrected with glasses when all tis is complete for both eyes.

On March 29 I went in for the same surgery on my left eye. I went for the one week checkup Tuesday. The left eye cornea transplant was a failure. They could not measure the vision in my left eye as I could not see anything on the charts or even fingers in front of my face. I was able to see her hand moving side to side in front of my face. The pressure is up inside my eye and the cells have dropped and need to be reattached. So Friday morning I will have the bubble put back in my eye and reattach the donor cells.

I have missed many posts these past weeks and months. I look forward to seeing good again and catching all your posts. Thanks to two organ donors I will be able to see again!

Thanks for stopping by today.
