In Ireland currently, we have alot of companys, of these companys, only a few run at max productivity. Many companys do not look after there workers, insted workers have to ensure that they eat correctly, and have 100% wellness. Companys themselves fight over the market, and in turn backrupt each other. In Ireland we have alot of non-Irish companys, this caused the formation of G-Irish, which other than an extra word in the company name, gives nothing to the companys, nor the workers.
What we want to aim for in Ireland is firstly, for all Irish owned companys to be running at max workers, this means a food company would have 10 workers, each company would take care of its workers, ensuring that workers are at 100% wellness, so that maximum productivity is always accheived, and, each and every company is able to make a profit! Finally, overproduction in Ireland should be managed, with everyone working at 100%, we will be able to export alot of products, the aim being that every single company will export 20% to 25% to other countrys!
This will be accheived via a multi step plan, the first step, is to have each company that wants to participate in this government run initiative to signup to a list, only Irish run business can apply, this means that the owner of the Org account has Irish citizenship. Once each company is signed up, they will be monitored, and tracked.
Each company will try to ensure that they have max workers at all times, they will also have to ensure that all workers are kept healthy, at the end of each week, payments will be made to each company from the government, based on number of workers, and how healthy the workers are, the aim of these payments is to firstly, ensure they can afford the wages of 10 workers, secondly to cover costs on health, but also to save, so the companys can export to different countrys, or upgrade.
This in short will make Irish companys very very competitive with those who are non-Irish, and ensure that Irish goods are being sold and the money into Irish hands, Irish citizens will benifit from better wellness, and the posibility of increase pay. The government will benifit from this as more money will be spent inside of Ireland, added to this, once goods are exported from our country it makes Ireland a strong trading partner for any country in the eWorld, this will also hugely increase our GDP!

Need to see some figures. Also many many countries have their import taxes on manufactured products set to 99% in an effort to keep money inside the country. How can we compete with foreign companies in their own markets if we charge almost double for the same product?
Nephworks, many does not mean all, there are often quite a few emerging countries that need to import to sustain they're populations, this could work quite well for us.
How do you plan to finance this?

Not true, competition drives prices down. If someone sells lower than necessary then yes the creme rises to the top for good GM's. it's called a free market.
Currently we have the problem that non irish business are hurting irish business by having companys here.
The idea of this is to have more benifits to having a company, companys will have that little more money to work with, meaning more for the workers, better wellness.
If you look back at a previous article i made on food, you will see better working conditions and max workers will produce a huge excess of food, this is good and you can export it.
As for import taxes, dont hide behind this, here are just a few countrys you could export to!

There are tons more countrys, so please, dont use the 99% tax excuse...
As for finance, it should in theory finance itself, with companys producing more efficently, more products will sell, and be exported, all going into the irish economy, and also into the irish treasury.
I have already accepted such an economic stimulus idea, indigenous companies would be protected in times of need. This is not a new campaign goal.

Actually it won't be self-financing at all.
No more products will be sold - as you have already there is overproduction taking place, so less products will be sold. Therefore, no increase in VAT revenue, and VAT in itself is only 1%.
No more people will be employed - There is not a worker shortage in Ireland, everyone who wants a job has one, therefore income tax revenue will not increase.
Therefore there will be no increase in revenue, apart from the income tax of the company owner. But there the plan runs into several flaws:
1. As wages rise, prices rise. It's a given fact.
2. It assumes the company is profitable, which many are not.
3. If the government is paying each company, then the company owner doesnt actualy have to withdraw any money from the company at all, but just take the money the government gives him.
4. The government will be subsidising it's citizens over and above what they actually produce. Therefore, not only is the government losingmoney through paying a company money for no return in tax revenue, but it's paying that company to be innefficient by paying wages which are not realistic.
And musing on companies saving enough to purchase an export license based on their profit alone is also unrealistic. Especially considering the state will give a 20 Gold interest-free loan for an export license. Seems like that base is already covered. Yes, it does need to be implemented, but it didnt help that the Trade Minister ran off to Australia 😉
And last, but not least, this article was plainly written by Snakeyes, considering his trademark exclamation marks, him answering all the questions on it, and the general similarity to his wacky electioneernig "economic plans" when he was running not so long ago. Can the Presidential candidate write his own articles please?
Some people have a problem finding "active workers" those that work towards Hard Worker Medals and stay "in country", Businessmen do not need to be Gifting workers. They need to increase a workers wage for Hard Work, and gaining Irish Hard Worker Medals (free Gold for the economy).

@Dan - I would assume there would be a slight wage rise to attract workers to Irish companys! As for gifting, it benifits the business to gift workers, 5IEP of gifts could produce 20IEP worth of products, per worker!

Yes, businesses should run at 10 optimal employees. Why pay them to do so though? Would it not be much better to educate them for free, and then they can do it by themselves?
And employers buying gifts for their employees? Come off it. Not to mention it's far more time efficienct to pay their worker the equivalent in gifts. But there is no reason a worker should have low wellness, because education and war games are free. Why not educate the workers in how to eep their wellness up properly?
And as I pointed out above, there won't be any extra revenue, as there will be no extra sales, as he population will have remained the same. and considering there is overproduction, there is only 1 place that can go, and that is exported abroad.
And hey presto, there is already a system in place to provide interest-free loans for export licenses, and hopefully now an active Minister for Trade to actually implement it. So I guess the bottom line is that this proposal is inefficient in terms of use of money and time, and the author clearly isnt in touch with the economic system (whoever the author may be 😉)
And if you actually had 2 eyes in your head, the Health Department hasnt been funded in months because A. It operates mostly as an advice scheme to advise people on how to keep their wellness up (imagine not just throwing money at a problem?) and B. Because it has a huge surplus of gifts.
Not to mention the fact that there will be a proposal to link the Health Ministry with the IDF permanently, whereby the Health Minister can see the Wellness Levels of all of our active citizens and act accordingly.
It's called joined-up thinking, which has yet to be a feature of the Presidential proposals from the IFP candidate.

Does the plan require that the company offer products on the market?
Are companys of higher quality going to gain more than those of a lesser quality?
If simply educating people is so easy digits, why isnt it working?
Gifts will certainly see a rise in sales, higher quality food also, along with housing.
@Sean, when this was discussed the other day at a meeting, I think the consensus was that we should first meet those companys that want to be involved in this, and get a feel for what would be the right amount, no point having a system that no companys take up because the money and benifits arent right.
And finally, Digits, pretty much any idea suggested these days in ireland, are just rewrites of something thats been rejected before. However, Moo is the only person who has looked at what ive been saying about the economy, and spoken about it, he is willing to look at other peoples ideas, this is good, many minds are better than a single mind!

The reason it hasnt been working is because this month was the first month for the Ministry for Trade, except that the appointee didnt do anything, and then skipped off to Australia. A new Minister for Trade was just appointed about two days ago, and I expect him t actually put the plans int practice.
And you keep saying that sales will rise, where, in fact, they wont. It will be the same number of people working for fewer companies (which is a good thing, but the economic module is made in such a way as to encourage the opposite). The same number of people means more goods wont be sold. And if by some miracle that they would be, the expenditure the government spends on this would far outweigh any revenue gained. Therefore, the only persons to benefit from this would be private businessmen. Is profit not enough for them?
Again, there will be more sales! Company owners will buy MORE gifts, to ensure wellness is high for there workers, its also very likely that if some companys have people with low wellness they will buy MORE food of higher quality so wellness rises faster! Also some high quality companys may buy MORE houses for there workers, I know I certainly would.
So yes, those producing say Q1 food will have alot more to sell, but the idea is that it is exported to other countrys around the world! Thus the excess doesnt sit in a dead company that cant pay its workers, its sold quickly and easily.
Why would companies buy gifts for their employees? Buying gifts is a woefully inefficient way of gaining wellness, when the best way to to fight to 100, have a house and buy the correct quality food. They can easily get to 100 wellness with a fight in a battle, and staying at 100 isn't exactly rocket science. Just buy Q2 or Q3 food, which their wage would cover easily. If an employer has someone with low wellness, they can teach him themselves, or refer him to the Health Ministry. You can buy a cheap state house for 3 Gold, I cant imagine any employer forking out 6 or 8 Gold for an employees house, particularly when an employee can afford one themselves.
And yes, excess stuff should be exported. It would take a company ages to save up to 20 Gold for an export license, whereas they can gain an interest-free loan from the government for one, and reap the rewards immediately.
Therefore, the Ministry of Trade and the Health Ministry working together will actually bring the higher wellness and properly run companies you speak of, for FREE, as opposed to some scheme involved handing out money willy nilly. So imagine, in doing it for FREE, it will actually be MORE profitable to the country.
Its great you saying all this Digits, but show me where the Ministry of Trade and Health Ministry have helped boost productivity in any company in ireland.
Infact show me a single company that has every single worker at 95-100% wellness...
The scheme is aimed at making companys more responsible for there workers, company owners cant really go inactive, however, ministers vanishing is very common...
So this boosts the wellness, productivity and care of the citizens, releives pressure off of the government, and gives company owners more control of there companys.
As for they wont buy gifts? The companys I run, I gift my workers, to ensure that I get maximum productivity, infact there are a couple of companys who give a few gifts a week to there workers, and probably give more, if the resources were there!
Stop trying to refer to an old system, that hasnt, and wont work, and try and look at the positives of having a system that requires little amounts of work from company owners, for a much greater production, which boosts our GDP!
I'm sorry but there have been no valid ways of financing this or the 10 other expensive "idea's"...
These programs are well and good, but admit that you would have to raise the tax rate to insane levels. (i'm talking RL Scandinavian levels...40-50%+...)
You are making too many promises, with no explanation of the follow through or financing for my tastes. I have liked some of your proposals, but i'd rather you make more realistic goals.

Finance cant really be commented on currently due to the exact costs not being worked out, hard to really do, as we dont know what the uptake would be!
Minister of Trade is not a new position, its a position thats flapped about during election times and never 100% used. Tho speaking about how something should work, when you have had a month to implement it, really shows how successful it has been...
Eh, it is a new position, read the news. At the start of the month, Apple appointed a Minister. The Minister didn't have time to do his job, and thus resigned. A new Minister was appointed only a couple of days ago. This isnt the first time I've said this to you, how many other times am I going to have to repeat it. To my knowledge, the newly appointed Minister has very detailed plans for his Ministry.
Finances can't be worked out, can anything else be worked out either?
