Give Molly Emma another month.

No big deal for Largo to wait 30 more days. And after his first term, he will likely want a second month to accomplish his goals. And if his goals are worth fighting for, you can expect me to feel the same way about giving him a second term as I feel about giving Molly Emma a second term.

You simply cannot do truly great work in one eRep term. Of the 31 days, one is lost because it is election day. Another two are sort of lost because it takes that long to get everyone properly set up and acclimated. Then (typically) the last 2-3 days are pretty quiet because everyone is campaigning and people are never quite sure who is in whose camp, so it is hard to get a lot done during the final 3 days. So 31 days quickly becomes 26 days. Pull out another couple of days because of RL and it is easy to understand why a second term ought to be a no-brainer for all but the worst CP's.

And Molly Emma has been a spectacular CP.

I'll talk about the Sirius thing in just a moment. But first, rewind to before our removal from Sirius. Let's consider Molly Emma's term prior to that.



She ended the Canada war. This took genuine leadership. The Canada war was fairly popular while it lasted, and us gold-hungry tanks were pressuring for its continuance. But Molly Emma recognized that we had accomplished our purpose there and the time was right for looking elsewhere. Given what has happened since, her instincts on the matter could not have been more precise. This is +1.

She spent very little of our National Reserve. I for one have no idea how she managed to be so successful in battle without spending more money on Combat Orders. But that's why I'm a gold-hungry tank and Molly Emma is a savvy leader. She did all that she did and spent very few tax dollars. This is +1.

She brought new people into Government. I don't know what the last count was, but there are at least a half-dozen new faces in government this term. Molly Emma is in touch with new players and old players alike. As a result we have up-and-coming talent in government. This is +1.

She has deepened our relations with several nations we formerly had weak relations with. I certainly didn't do that. And once again, who could have known, but now that prescient leadership is paying big dividends as we find ourselves in need of a broader base of international friends. This is another +1.

Then, of course, came the Sirius problem.



Molly Emma does not get a -1 on this. As has been very well documented by Wild Owl, Derphoof, and others, Sirius dealt disingenuously with Molly Emma. They literally had no intention of keeping USA in the alliance. This was a case of Spain being further up Poland's backside than we were ever willing to go. So it was USA or Spain. I am proud of Molly Emma that she did not kowtow. And when Sirius folds, she will be finally vindicated. It's hard to give out any +'s here, but the fact that Molly Emma handled herself so beautifully throughout an immensely stressful several days... gets her a +1.

And lastly, we finish this month with 8/10 bonuses (and plans for more which I happen to know is top sekrit). How she managed to pull this off in the midst of such international chaos is beyond me. +2.
