The political arena of each country has their own conventions and norms. In the UK I thought that it had generally been agreed upon by all the political parties to not try and 'poach' other parties members. I learned this when I started messaging some members in smaller parties and was told that the political parties agreed not to do this with one another, and I have since stopped doing it.

I understand that the political atmosphere of the UK has been rather ugly in the recent past and I do not want to see a resurgence of this ugliness and I wish things to remain upfront and civil.

However recently I have been told from members that leading figures in the top 7 parties have been messaging them trying to get them to move to the other parties. I'am not just talking about just one party poaching either, several top parties have been practicing in 'poaching', I do not want to point the finger though and so will I will not name names. I just ask that those involved stop doing what they are doing or else I will not feel bad in messaging your members, and this would be good for my party since your parties have many more members for me to 'steal' then what you can 'steal' from us. If 'poaching' is allowed then I have no problem with it, but if everyone is publicly saying that no one will poach then stop secretly 'poaching'.

Is the die cast? I hope not, but if so then the counter attack shall commence

Hopefully some party leaderships will take it on board that poaching is an extremely irritating course of action and wins them little friends

that is kind of what I think but I hear a lot about how UK parties have agreed not to poach.

about the weak members, I think most parties would not care to have weak members, they are still a number that can propel them to power

There's no formal 'agreement' in place as far as I am aware of. A few parties got all poo poo over it about a year back, last we really heard of it. Not to mention the Top 5 has changed since the 'agreement' was in place so I figure it no longer applies, unless another party wsnts to draw something up and get all parties to adhere to it (lol)

I think its more of a moral thing, can you get to where you are without having to start messaging other parties members in a bid to blatantly recruit. Instead, you should do it via good policies and arguments,

If the top parties are indeed 'poaching' then what is the point of the articles that get votes bought just so the new member s can see what they offer? Either stick to trying to rope those who havent got a party or stick to your articles.

sorry ace but thats what is going to happen, I don't want to release them, I'v done that before and things can escalate quickly, this article was just a warning to others that 'poaching' is going on and a warning to the 'poachers' that they are not the only ones who can do what they are doing
