Maybe participate in the democratic process going on at the forum if you want to change certain things.

On a sidenote, I'm actually writing an essay against the right of free speech as we speak.

I've tried the forum , but doesn't really work either..... vote changes will get things done anyways....

Against the right of freedom of speech..... OKAY... i'm for no restriction at all, and anyone should say what is on their mind.
Would make the world an easier place , coz nobody would have to lie or refrase what they're saying.... coz someone's feelings could be hurt......

I have more respect for people that say what they mean & think , or people that just say what ever they think i want to hear.....

There is more nuance to the right of free speech. It would require me more than the average article to explain it, so I will not.

Free speech is a renaissance ideal that is being misinterpreted in current age and taken for something that frees speakers of responsibility. And that is all I have to say about that.

I have to agree on that it doesn't free us from responsibility.......... but i should have the right to say what i want ........ And if that sometimes means that i won't say it coz it hurts others ..... thats good.
Thats what respect for others is all about.
But i don't want any nitwit or government decide for me what is and isn't allowed to say.
We've have seen where that leads us , mao , stalin, Fidela, pinochette and more of those dictators...... if you don't agree you'll dissapear for good.
Is that the way to go??? ....

I will send you a version of my essay once it's finished. If it wasn't in Dutch I'd even consider posting it as an article or series of articles. The problem lies in definitions.

I have no ides what you mean, I can however remember from those days that it was especially I&W who did all the secrecy, and it was GPN who got it all out in to the open.

I don't think I&W ever lied to congress about alliance membership. M. de Ruyter lied flat out to Norwegian congress about getting an invitation to Pacifica though. Show me the supposed secrecy of I&W to back up your claim.

GPN was actually very good in secrecy, they were the ones who started discussions in PM threads with people they trusted because they did not trust the forums or that it wouldn't be leaked. Hiding discussion in PM threads from the public is also secrecy

GPN was created by an escaped TBS convict that claimed to see visions of balls of light representing angels and demons that could talk to him. The party has always been led by extremely deluded people in one way or the other.

And that guy was just before my time. I came to play this game when Mr.Sphere, VS, Zeeuwsmeisje, Jaromier, 071 and others made that party in something good for all the eNL players.

As someone who used to hold Honorary Citizenship, and then Expat Status, I fully understand and respect why those titles were stripped of me. Even if I do joke about it sometimes.

You forget one major method that seems to fit best currently;
Get players you don't like banned like our CP brags about a lot. And it sure looks like he did do so a few months back again as I experienced within the household I live in...

The most I can do is report suspicious citizens through a ticket, which I haven't done with regards to your household, while you guys certainly appeared to dedicate all your comments towards negative unfunded remarks about my person.

If you have a problem with bans you should use the appeal function.

I doubt that will give an answer. As you supposedly know I've been (temporary) banned and asked questions on why. After all; If I don't know what's wrong chances are I'll do it again/keep doing it. Up until now; No answers. Which reminds me I should put time in the matter to get it clear. Or wait and see...

That said; if Daan saw the same statements from you that I've seen (on forum mostly I believe) I can understand him as with those statements there is no room for doubt; If there is the need you'll get people banned. Indeed when there is the need to get accounts banned they get banned. Note how I say accounts. I reported around 150 multi's that were close to PTO'ing NL. I have more nuance in my toe than you and all the accounts you supposedly never shared an ip and currency/items with. Which is pretty much the only explanation why you got tempbanned and they got permabanned at the same moment.

Well, if you discuss matters, which is easy sitting on a table over dinner, you could end up sharing the same ideas. And indeed they were not alligned on several occasions with yours garmr. I wouldn't consider 150 Croatian multi's mere 'opponents', rather national safety concerns.

It is sad to see that in such a small declining community, certain people are pushing people away who wish to stay part of the community. It is also sad to see the President who I have always believed to be a respected citizen is himself supporting these actions.

I support honorary citizenship for Aries. However, I want to abolish the expat and alike statuses because they add nothing and are less democratic. Hence my reason for choosing not to have people with expat status.

Regarding the Zapping of the expat status. It was a very close vote. It seems odan's arguments won over a few of his party members. His main argument was that Canada is an enemy nation.

We had friends in the recent, longer and ancient past. At least in one of those periods Canada was considered a friendly nation. Not much changed in our alliance (still none) so I wonder how they can be an enemy now....

I agree we should get real friends, this pretend friends is not helping us at all.

We should not do damage for countries who clearly do not want to be in an alliance with us.

Funny how the people who complain about no real allies barely fight and if they fight it's only in RW's that we want to lose anyway. Having allies also means fighting and helping them but people seems to be more interested in being selfish and fight for TP medals

I like the most of the people do not fight as we have nothing to fight for, we have no allies. If we had an ally we would be in an alliance by now. We need to stop pretending the foreign policy of the last 10 months has brought us anywhere.

Dunno who you refer to, but most players are told NOT to fight until they reach top strength. So yes, if they fight they will do so for eNL battles mostly.

It would be inconsistent of me to vote in favor of abolishing the expat status while also voting in favor of keeping a specific person with expat status.
