How Far they Have Fallen

Karnataka, India - 2:30
This morning, the Indian Parliament voted on a Declaration of War against the United States of America. As was expected, the vote passed easily. Although, a mere four months ago, this vote would of been earth shattering; it is now nothing more than a formality.
It is no secret that the relations between India and the United States have deteriorated to an abysmal level. There has been a great rally against the Americans, and for no real reason. For months we dutifully payed our rent, and protected India from itself, and others. When Serbia moved to within striking distance of India, it was the United States Military that stood on the front lines. When India was threatened internally, by PTO, it was Rod Damon's ATO units that protected the Indian Parliament. The same parliament that voted for war with America.
We have seen this before, and it is do in large part to our Real Life foreign policy. Even though this world is supposed to transcend the Real World, we have seen time and again, America punished for it's Real Life counterpart. Relations with Poland and Spain (both close allies) nearly deteriorated into war, as the peoples of those nations forgot that whatever sins America has committed in Real Life, we have worked tirelessly not to commit here.
Although we are not perfect, we have tried to affect a better foreign policy. We have tried to stand up for the small nations, of India, Australia, and South Africa. While punishing their dangerous neighbors. It is true that we held Indian regions, but we did so with their permission, and with our pocket book. Perhaps we stifled their economy, by not letting them use their own resources. But we also filled their coffers. The same coffers that were used to forge alliances with our enemies.
America was betrayed this morning. And she will be betrayed again. We cannot stop that. All we can do is work tirelessly to do what is right. For though others may doubt us. We will never doubt ourselves.
