Greece vs Cyprus. A look into

Day 2,231, 04:45 Published in Cyprus Cyprus by KypriosEL

Fellow Cypriots,

These days i was somehow inactive, i can say a 2-clicker. I watched things happening, the history repeating itself again and i felt that i have to write my thoughts.

Suddently this month a new NAP agreement was made by Cyprus and Greece. It was also covering the new changes of the game. Some of us said that this was a bad agreement other said that we couldnt do anything else. The CP Camilo accepted it but later changed his mind some people said that this was a troll. So wtf is going on?

My answer is very simple. The two sides Cyprus and Greece see the issues in a different perspective.

Most of us in Cyprus stay here not for bonus or personal profit but just for fun and for keeping Cyprus on the map. While many of the Greeks stay in Greece just for bonus and profit. And at the same time they're taking the frustration of real life issues into the game except when it comes for Turkey because they are partners now. It is well known that when Greece didnt have regions many people left and made what we say Greek Diaspora for Bonus. In Cyprus we also gave shelter to many of them when as a country were deleted.
But fun is not the only difference...
The most important reason is the fact that we stay here in Cyprus for honor and dignity. That means that we can not accept any ruler, we can not accept to be a protectorate, we want to be free and be respected. On the other hand Greeks dont seem to understand this. And that was always the issue. They play the game of the forceful ....when they can. And it is their answer when they dont have anything else to say: "We do this because we can!".

So what happened with the NAP?

In my opinion the NAP agreement was a knife to the throat - not an agreement and a trap. It was: Either you sign this or no regions. And by signing the agreement Cyprus was becoming a protectorate of Greece by giving to Greece path for their bonuses everytime the path was broken (if this is really what they wanted). Something different from the previous agreements and was in my opinion doomed to die because its against the ideals of every country in the game, it was against dignity. The previous agreement was made with dignity to solve the bad relation issues but this one was going one step further by giving away the Cyprus sovereignty with our consent. And according to some people in Greece they can only make a subordination agreement with us and nothing more. If Cyprus was strong they would consciously accept to be deleted every time we wanted a path? I dont think so.
Greeks could choose a different way of approach but they didnt do it. Maybe because whatever we choose in Cyprus suits them. If we choose to give them path everytime is ok and if we dont again is ok because they can take it by force and they will also have an alibi cause we didnt sign. So its the strong against the weak. End of story....

Some of you will ask: What could be the alternative approach, especially after the failure for an agreement?

The other approach from the Greeks could be the acceptance that the game changed and that for some days they might not possess all the regions of Egypt or Saudi.
The same way we accept that we can stay with 2 or 3 regions and nothing more. Also it could be a friendship approach for help and co-operation and at the same time respecting our sovereignty.

But why to choose this approach?
Except from other reasons mainly because of the cost. With 4 countries under occupation they have to tank more. At the end the profit might be less than the loss. Not to mention that the drain might cause the freedom of other regions and possible loss of bonus for sometime. If they are so strong and can keep every region they hold then why did they want the extra path in the first place? So the risk is still in force and it comes the question: Did they really want this path or it was just an excuse to empathise? Whatever the answer i dont care i just see that they choose to see us either as slaves or enemies.

While they always complain that this is our fault (especially the trolling) they never blame their self for anything. Of course they are always right and they dont choose RL issues selectively. Pseftomagkes tou pliktrologiou. And to clarify, as i told you before not all of them in Greece but many of them.

To tell you the truth i dont expect much from this game anymore. The place of fun took the bad blood and greediness...

ps. With this article i dont justify the Cyprus CP for his actions or even blame the negotiation team for not doing a good job. I am just trying to show the 2 different perspectives that might give a light why these things happen.
It is my opinion and i do not represent the Cyprus state or community.
But i always say that for a bad situation both parts have a share.

Hail Cyprus
Hail Freedom
Cyprus is an honor!

Happy New Year!
