Las eVacaciones estilo SeaSciFi

Cumpliendo 1 año en el juego, es interesante reflexionar atrás y ver qué hemos conseguido en este juego que durante todos los días menos 7 del año he fielmente entrado (todos esos en mi primer mes, antes de descubrir IRC e iniciar la carrera ePeriodística)



Medio año en la e-política
• 2 presidencias de eMexico
• 3 veces congresista ingame
• 1 vez congresista offgame
• 2 veces apoyando en la OBM al CP en turno

No tan relevante en el aspecto militar:

• 11K de fuerza, 44 Super Soldier… poco contra muchos de mi generación, decente gracias a la regularidad… muy poco para lanzarme a D4…
• 5 BH en todo el año
• 2 Mercenary en todo el año
• Casi 100M de daño por México para la True Patriot… hubiera querido lograrlos para festejar pero no hubo suficiente batalla vs. Colombia, demasiadas veces me quedé sin pegar… Pero llego mañana
o Casi 20M de ellos en una sola campaña al inicio de mi primera presidencia… el ahorro de 2 meses + el supply pack, mi última BH

ePeriodista: definitivamente como actividad que me define mejor en el juego… muchos artículos este año…

La Vida Real no ha sido mala estos años, inclusive este año en el juego ha sido un buen complemento y aprendizaje, que no ha detenido tener una vida real envidiable (dicen mis amigos que estoy viviendo la vida que todos nos merecemos, nini pero turbo)…

Así que dije, es hora de dedicarle menos tiempo al juego, y mejor ver otras cosas en la vida real … Más aún, en estos días que se han puesto de moda las despedidas del juego…

Pero se dio la oportunidad no sólo de seguir mi carrera periodística a nivel e-Internacional. También la carrera política… Y la verdad no me gusta seguir la moda, ya está choteado…

Así que en mis super eVacaciones, continuaré los objetivos que plantee el mes pasado… Fortalecer a CoT como alianza, lo cual naturalmente sigue fortaleciendo a eMexico. Este mes será desde la posición de SC (Supreme Commander)… muy adecuado para unas eVacaciones, y la gira por CoT que ya había avisado en mi último BoG… Sólo necesitaré estar online unas 10-20 horas al día…

Ya conseguí lo que realmente quería de este juego… Quería soltarlo, pero también quiero consolidarlo:

eMexico cambió este año… Pero el cambio permanente no depende de una persona, depende de que todos recuerden que lo hacemos todos, y que el éxito en el juego y en la RL viene de su autosuficiencia y capacidad independiente de trabajar hacia el mismo objetivo aún con gente con la que no se comparten tantas ideas y formas de ser, de escoger sus peleas contra el “enemigo” (el rival del juego) y no el compañero de equipo que nos tocó aunque no nos guste…



eVacations! SeaSciFi style

Today I celebrate my first full year in the game. As a major milestone, it is interesting to look back and see what I have done here, while playing every day except 7 in the first month, before discovering IRC and starting my eJournalist career.



Half a year in e-politics:
• 2 times eMexico President
• 3 times Congressman (in-game)
• 1 times Congressman (off-game as we were invaded)
• 2 times Mexican Bank Governor, supporting the President

Not as good a career in the military:

• 11K strength, that is 44 Super Soldier… Little compared to many of my generation, not too bad as I have trained regularly without gaps, but too little to go for Div 4
• A big total of 5 BH all year
• Just 2 Mercenary Medals
• Almost 100M damage for Mexico, on the True Patriot… I would have loved to get there right before celebrations, but not enough fight from Colombia, too many times I didn’t hit while wall was controlled… But I will get there tomorrow
o Almost 20M of that in a single campaign, right starting my first Presidency, after saving for 2 months + supply pack… my last BH

eJournalist is definitely the activity that defines me better in this game… quite some articles this first year…

Real Life is good… Even so much time invested in this game has been a great addition and learning, without stopping from enjoying a nice real life
So I was thinking, time to reduce my time in the game, and enjoy more stuff in real life, specially after seeing so many farewell articles, as people is leaving the game.

But there is an opportunity to follow my career internationally, not just as eJournalist, but in politics… And I don’t like to follow fashion (as the trend of leaving on the year)

So in my “eVacations”, I will continue with the objectives I set as a President last month… Work to make CoT a stronger, better Alliance, which naturally helps eMexico too. This month, I will be doing that from the SC (Supreme Commander) position in CoT HQ.

I already got what I wanted from this game. I wanted to let it go once accomplished, but I also want to consolidate it first.

I wanted to change eMexico, and learn from that how to change RL Mexico… eMexico changed this year I have been in the game, very positively.
But permanent change is not done by a single person, requires everybody to remember we change as a group… And success both in the game and RL come from self-sufficiency and the capacity of working independently and still together, towards the same objective, even if we have different ideas and ways in the people we happen to have in our team, choosing the battle against “the enemy” (the game rival), instead of fighting among mates.
