ELECTIONS: Ian E Coleman for An Uachtarán

Day 2,111, 19:58 Published in Ireland Ireland by Brian Boru

In light of the withdrawal of Sweet Drinker from any possible fourth term in the highest office of the Republic, the Society of United Irishmen had a choice to make.

In order to choose a candidate, we had to see who would best negotiate the political minefield that is eIreland, who would best continue the legacy of our Revolution, and who had significant governmental experience to continue the tradition of technocratic rule that Sweet brought back to us.

We have decided that the candidate who best fits within these categories of the current contenders is Ian E Coleman.

This was admittedly an easy choice: The other candidate or his party did not even bother to contact us. We must now get on with a more difficult task; keeping this country on track, preserving and building on our achievements and system, and seeking whatever glory is to be had.
