Join the new world

Hey folks,
there are lots of things except the usual eRepublik gameplay that can be done. The eUSA has got different positions, all parties got positions, Military Units and so on. They all need active people who're working to make organizations more successful.
Especially for new citizens to eRepublik, all those meta-game stuff will look quite confusing. There are so many spots that have to be filled and most new players just don't know what it means to be in a department or what they got to do in it. Therefor the Fun/Retention Department created a contest to inform other citizens about the departments and what they do, whereby this is my submission. Find the contest here.

FBI Department
First of all and probably one of the most important departments is the FBI with it's current Director blondeninja. blondeninja is a famous name inside the Federalist Party as well as outside in national topics. She's a former Federalist Party President (2x). Also she's the current Director of the WHPR.
The FBI is not really visible to other players as they do things behind the scenes. They check new Fed members for example whether they are multiple-accounts, serious new players, PTO threats or not. They also do grant forum and IRC access to new players from the Federalist Party or it's Military Unit S.H.I.E.L.D.. They check congressional applicants and stuff like that.
For the future, the plan of the FBI is to increase cooperation with DHS. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is the official eUS Department protecting eUS citizens from terrorist threats like PTOs. So they do similar things and cooperation will increase both Fed and eUS safety.


Political Department
As you probably know there is a Congress for each country. Congressmen are getting elected on 25th of each month. The Top5 of each country's parties are allowed to send representatives to the Congress.
Apollo221 is the current Political Director, who is also a former Vice Party President, former Director for Retention and a former eUS IES Agent. Right now he's the Political Director, Fed FBI Agent as well as Quartermaster General for Feds own MU S.H.I.E.L.D.. His team is made up of all current Congressmen and is basically working in the eUS forum. They're working on taxation, political directions, immigration and stuff like that. The specific job of the Political Director is to check congressional applications, give advise and opinion to his team as well as leading his team to representate the Party in the best way possible.


Federalist Media Department
The Federalist Media Department is the voice of the Feds. It's job is to inform Feds about political news, party stuff, contests and similar things. The Fed Press is used to provide helpful information to other citizens whether they are new to the game, trying to find their way into politics, find a good fitting party or just interested in Fed Press. Fed Press is currently publishing articles about two to three times a week.
It's current Director WookyJack is a Fed for some months now. He's also working as a QM for his MU S.H.I.E.L.D. as well as acting as a writer for the WHPR. Currently, Federalist Press can be found here.


Fun & Retention Department
The Fun & Retention Department has got two Directors, crashthompson and dk3dknight. Both are long-time members of the Federalist Party. crashthompson was a Commanding Officer of the MU S.H.I.E.L.D. and dk3dknight has started another term being the Director of Fun/Retention.
Basically their job is to take care of the Fun Zone at the forum. They're organizing events, contests and similar stuff to increase activity on the one hand and to make it more attractive to login to the forums on the other. The weekly Lucky Lotto and the Not so wintery Scavenger Hunt are some of their latest projects they were working on.


Federalist Express Department
The Federalist Express (FedEx) Department messages the whole party about the most important things like discussions at the Fed forum or at the eUS forum. Also they refer to latest Fed artibles whether they're written by Fed Media or some Fed members. FedEx is currently sending out messages two to three times a week. FedEx is also working closely with the Fed Media Department.
The FedEx Director ubuntu21 is a citizen of eRepublik for some months now and is also part of the Fed Media Department as well as working as a QM for his MU EZC.


Recruitment Department
Recruitment generally means to message new citizens in the eUS and help them with their first steps in eRepublik. Workers in the Department also help new citizens to join the metagame or guide them to the most fitting party so they have the most out of it. Of course, their first goal is to increase the popularity of the Federalist Party.
It's current Director Kody5 is a member of the Feds for years now. He registered in winter 2012. He's in the Federalist leadership for some time now. He has served several times in Congress and has worked for the FBI.


Commander of Feds Military Unit S.H.I.E.L.D.
The last department is the Military Department, which is basically meant to be the position of the "S.H.I.E.L.D. Commander". bigcdizzle is the current Commanding Officer (CO) of S.H.I.E.L.D., former EZC CO, former Fed PP/VPP, former Chief of Staff and has held many Directoring positions within the party. Nationally he has worked for the WHPR, he was Deputy of Education/Defense and was a member of the NSC. He's a American Hero, elected by WHPR.
His job can vary a lot day to day. He needs to know the priorities set by the NSC and has to compare them with S.H.I.E.L.D. Priorities. Also he has to keep members active, oversee supplies, settle disputes and come up with new and exciting ideas for the MU.


The Fed Historian
The Fed Historian is no real Department but a important job to the Federalist Party. There is probably no better qualified person as eliwood_sain, who's just the oldest Fed around. His first term in Congress was in October 2009. He has done a lot of jobs for the Federalist Party like being Director of Public Relations, Director of Media and Director of Politics.
His job is basically trying to keep up the archives as to who has done what for the party and recording legacy of the party so the party can work more with what has been successful and what hasn't.
