Days 1472-76 VICTORY IN AQUITAINE!!!

Days 1472-76:


ONE is reeling in North America. Both Poland and Serbia have been getting stomped by the United States. And Canada has owned Poland as well. The Poles have lost Montana, Idaho, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, all to Canada. Minnesota was returned to the USA. There is no concrete explanation for this. It’s not as if Poland is focusing elsewhere. ONE is simply losing across the board.
The pendulum has swung back towards us.
As for Serbia, the United States has almost entirely wiped out the Serbian presence. They still occupy a few states, but they are dwindling fast. The United States even took the fight to the French mainland, by attacking Serbian held Aquitaine.

American attack on South Dakota



The big news from this region, is the Battle of Aquitaine. The Americans attacked the former French region yesterday afternoon. They jumped out to a 5-0 lead, before the Serbians even won a mini. But, they rallied, and took the Allies down to the wire. Even with the heavy tanking by ONE, the combined forces of EDEN and TERRA were victorious. And the combined damage of the top 5 for the United states was well over 65 million, for the campaign. A huge victory.
With the loss of Aquitaine, the Serbians are now cut off from the American mainland, and will only be able to attack if they can regain initiative, or retake Aquitaine. For the United States, they get rubber, in the short term, and in the long term, are able to return a critical region to a struggling ally.

France and Spain

Also on the Iberian Peninsular, is the thrashing of Spain. They regained initiative against Portugal, and have invaded Norte, but the Argentinians are currently dominating them at ever turn. The current attack against Murcia opened just a few hours ago, but Argentina can expect a big lead, as it is their primetime.

And to the north, the plucky Irish have sacked London. For the second time, in just a few months, London has fallen. One of the regions that gained notoriety because of its difficulty to capture, has now been sacked multiple times. The victory in London is a huge moral boost, and whether the Irish have dreams of wiping England or not, it seems unlikely that they will be able to do so.

London burns once more



Romania was wiped by Hungary and Turkey. The battle just recently ended, and the Romanians lost 8-0. With the annexation of Croatia to Mexico; Bulgaria, Greece and Romania are the only allied nations in a very hostile location. All three nations are under constant threat, and this time, it was Romania that came up with the short stick.
Luckily for them, they control parts of Latvia and Estonia, ensuring that they still have regions. This also puts them in a safer part of the world, because the ABC alliance needs ONE tanking to be of any use.



Overall Analysis
The victory in Aquitaine is huge. From a resource, strategic and moral standpoint. It’s been the biggest battle in a while, and definitely the biggest for the USA since they tried to regain initiative against Serbia in Nevada. It is now looking like ONE will be expelled from the United States sooner rather than later.
It will also be interesting to see, if we are on the path to more French freedom, or if this is just a temporary victory.
