Days 1470-71 - America Regains Initiative!!!

Days 1470-71 -


A few days ago, the situation in America was not looking good. Serbia had regained initiative, and Poland was invading.
My how things have changed.
Serbia was stopped cold in their attack on Washington, 8-2. The Allies dominated the battle, and regained initiative for America. The United States has not counter attacked yet, but we can expect them to do so shortly. There is already a resistance in Alabama, so it is possible that Tennessee could be the target. The Americans need to free up trade routes from their capital to their resources. Although the United States is losing the Resistance War in Alabama, they have not entered their primtime, and it is still possible that they will win.
As for the war with Poland, the United States is winning the battle of Georgia, 5-1. It is probably safe to declare this a win for America. This will turn initiative against Poland as well, and give the United States, and her allies complete control over the war in North America.
To the north, Canada attacked Polish controlled Minnesota. This breaks up Polands control over the northern states, and gives Canada access to grain, a resource they do not possess. As long as Poland doesn’t turn the war around, and invade Canada, the Canucks will likely retain possession of Minnesota, as part of a regions swap.

The only thing of interest here, is the Spanish-Portuguese war. A few days ago, the Spaniards made the ill advised decision to invade Portugal without support. The Portuguese thumped Spain’s attacked, and countered with an invasion of their own. Castilla y Leon is now under Portugal’s control, and they have attacked Asturias as well. They are down 1-0 in Asturias currently, but it is still early.

Saudi Arabia has been awash in conflict the past few days. The Saudis have been winning multiple Resistance Wars against Iran. But, as soon as they win them, the FYROM has been invading them, and conquering them. If this sounds like two nations of ONE fighting vicariously, it is. You can read the explanation here.. The tl;dr version, is that FYROM is a full member of ONE, while Iran is not. Therefore, Iran must give up their regions to FYROM. Iran did not agree to do this, and as such, the ONE Alliance took the regions by force.
All of this is necessary because the Greeks are destroying FYROM in their original regions. They just barely won the last mini, and conquered all of the original FYROM regions.



Overall Analysis
The trouble in Saudi Arabia, between ONE and Iran drew fire away from important battles elsewhere. ONE’s desire to teach Iran a lesson, cost them initiative and battles in other parts of the world. Whether all of the other Pro-ONE nations fall in line, or this encourages them to revolt, remains to be seen. But, the heavy hand that ONE used against Iran, is hopefully a wake up call, that if you are a small nation, allied with ONE, then you are nothing but a pawn. ONE proved this today.
