Day 3 - Florida Falls, California Endangered

Day 1,309, 16:03 Published in USA USA by Israel Stevens
Day 3 -

North America
The former capital of America, Florida, fell this afternoon after a brief skirmish with Hungary. As has been the theme throughout this invasion, the battle was over before most of America even logged on. Florida had been the capital for almost a year, following World War III; and remained that way up until a region swap moved it to California. Regardless, this is a huge blow for the American war effort.
Pennsylvania also fell this afternoon. Another prominent state, with a sizable population. As with Hungary to the south, Poland has rampaged through the Northeast unchecked. I would expect Poland to move towards Ohio and Indiana, before they turn their attention to New England.
Also of note, Canada attacked and conquered New Hampshire. This is important, because it means that Maine is isolated from Poland. America also controls Nova Scotia, and unless the UK or Sweden decide to get involved, America should hold onto Maine for a while longer.
In the west, Indonesia attacked California. America is currently getting dominated, and it is looking like the current American Capital will fall. If this does indeed happen, it is looking like Texas will become the new capital.

Disaster

South America
Peru and Brazil have been flirting, with Peru taking a region from Brazil. The most interesting thing here, is that with Spain retaking the Canary Islands from the USA, Brazil now shares a border with Spain for the first time in months. Brazil is one of the few nations that can go toe to toe with Spain, and if Brazil declares Spain as Natural Enemy, they might be able to drain enough damage away from Spain that the Americans could see some success.

Possible Brazilian attack on Spanish mainland.

Western Europe
Portugal staved off Mexico, and turned around and promptly invaded the Spanish speaking country. Mexico is currently up 1-0, but the battle is early, and time will tell. Portugal may win this battle though, as Mexico usually needs their European allies in order to win.
France, Germany and the rest of occupied Europe are trying to use resistance wars to regain their lands from Poland and Hungary. It is unlikely that Poland and Hungary can maintain control over all of Europe and continue their American invasion. If America can’t break through, then perhaps France and Germany can.

European Resistance Wars

Oceania/Far Eastern Asia
Australia staved off elimination, and is now using the Resistance war, to try and retake the lands that Indonesia has conquered. It remains to be seen if Indonesia can continue to dominate this region, and also get involved in the American Invasion.
Also, China is continuing to expand. They are currently at war with the old-world power Iran. They have seen quite a bit of success. So much so, that they posses all of the resource bonuses.

Overall Analysis
It is looking like America is going to lose both Florida and California in one day. The ideas that this is not a real war, or that we have regions to give because we have so many; are ridiculous. There is a very real possibility that America will not exist on the map within a few weeks. America needs one of their allies to help them break up this monotony. When most Americans log on for the first time, the battles are mostly over. The battles need to be started in America’s primetime, so that it can be Poland and Hungary waking up to a 5-0 hole.
As for the rest of the world, it really does seem like everyone is watching the wars in North America. And most of Europe is devoting all of their resources to wiping the United States off the map.
