Day - 1413


Not surprisingly, Canada was crushed in Scotland by Sweden. However, in a surprising move, the United Kingdom attacked Newfoundland and Labrador before Sweden could. This is a major development, because if the UK wins, that means that Sweden is blocked from entering North America. Sweden is a complete member of ONE, while the UK is not. They have many of the same allies, but don’t enjoy the same level of commitment that Sweden does. If the UK wins in Newfoundland and Labrador, the Canadians, and EDEN have a much better chance of repelling the invasion. A United Kingdom win, also closes the war between Canada and Sweden.
This will be a hard fought battle, as the Canadians are ordering their soldiers to fight for the UK, and Britain is ordering theirs to fight for Canada. A confusing circumstance, that hopefully EDEN can capitalize on.


The war with Spain is spiraling out of control rapidly. Although the United States has been able to win the Resistance Wars opened by Spain, they have been unable to win a single mini battle against the conventional Spanish attacks. There is a very slight glimmer of hope for the Americans in Spain however. Instead of attacking Galicia, and opening a RW in another region, the Spaniards opened a Resistance War in Galicia, and attacked Castilla y Leon.
This is important because the United States has been able to win the Resistance Wars, meaning that they have a good chance of winning in Galicia, and holding onto Fish. However, the impending loss in Castilla y Leon is going to cutoff Iron and Deer from the American capital, dealing a significant economic blow to the United States.

Situation in Spain



In Eastern Europe, bad news for EDEN, as Romania has been wiped by Hungary. Romania is one of the most powerful nations in EDEN, but is surrounded by enemies. As always, the one good thing about being wiped, is that it closes all of the open wars in the nation, meaning that Romania can start fresh, as they work towards liberating their country.
To the south, even more bad news for EDEN. Greece, another powerful nation, has been wiped from all of their native regions. They still control two regions in Egypt however. The issue is that those are susceptible to Resistance War at any moment. On the plus side however, Greece’s perpetual wars with Turkey and FYROM have been closed for the time being.

Situation in Romania, and Greece



Australia regained two more regions yesterday, both of them from New Zealand. The Kiwis do not control anymore Australian regions. Only Indonesia, but the Australians have shown little interest in winning those regions back. Especially, as they just declared Peru their Natural Enemy. It seems as though Australia is going for a quick grab of Peru’s Fish region. This also happens to be Peru’s only region, so Australia would be completing the wipe, if they win.
The war with Indonesia will likely take allied support, or for Indonesia to be distracted somewhere else.

Overall Analysis
The mistake by the United Kingdom, could prove to be a colossal mistake. If EDEN can ensure a UK victory, and then quickly Resistance War both Newfoundland & Labrador, and Scotland back, the war with Sweden would be closed, and Canada would only be under threat from the United Kingdom. A reasonable challenge, as the countries are fairly evenly matched.
The United States needs to regain initiative against Spain, if they still hope to wipe the nation. Unless a peace treaty can be hammered out, it will not be long until the Eastern Seaboard is under attack.
