Day 13 - America Wiped! Let the Resistance Begin!

Day 13 -

North America
Looks like 13 really is America’s unlucky number. 13 days into major combat operations in North America, the United States was wiped from the map. In 1,319 days, this has never occurred before. It was accomplished by Indonesia conquering Hawaii. However, the loss of the nation was brief. And shortly after Hawaii fell, Arizona was liberated from Indonesia’s clutches. So although the country was wiped out, they are already back on the map.
There is a silver lining here though. And that is the fact that there are no longer any active wars against us. Hungary, Poland, Indonesia, Spain and even our bros Canada, are not at war with the United States anymore. This is a huge benefit, because it means that the United States should have a much easier time of retaking the country. ONE has it’s prize, and may look towards new targets now.

In other news, Resistance wars failed in Maine, Washington and Minnesota. There is still one raging in Oklahoma, although the United States will need to do some heavy tanking if they hope to win.

South America
Brazil is under threat of wiping as well. Their last region is being dominated by Spain, 6-0. There is a resistance in Parana and Santa Catarina however, it was just recently opened, and Brazil is currently up 1-0. It is probable that the same thing that happened to the United States, will happen to Brazil. A brief wiping, and then an easier time retaking the country.

Europe
Portugal retook Centro yesterday, and there are currently two battles open. One is a resistance war, and one is a Portuguese attack on a Mexican held region. Portugal is currently losing in both of them.
Russia is also facing an attack by Lithuania, in Western Siberia. This has been a pattern of attacks in Northern Eurasia. Lithuania attacks Western Siberia, and is stonewalled. Russia counters with an attack on Northern Russia, and is also stonewalled. It has been back and forth for the better part of a week, and neither side has gained any traction at all. The same is true now, as Russia is less than an hour away from securing Western Siberia.

Overall Analysis
As disheartening as it is to say, America will be better off, after being wiped. ONE has got what they came for. The glory of wiping the United States, something that PEACE failed to do. The real question is, can the country pick up the pieces and return itself to the the top 5. It should be easier, with no active wars against the nation.
The only real issue is that ONE controls so much of the world, that there are few places left for them to conquer. There is a little bit of Canada left. And perhaps Argentina will be made to pay for their alliance with Terra. In my opinion, there are two places that ONE can move towards next. The first, is that they continue to use Lithuania as a proxy, and invade Russia. They could also use Alaska as a jumping off point, with either Indonesia or Poland attacking Far Eastern Russia. The other target would be China. The nation exists almost as if in a bubble. They are by far the strongest nation in their region, and as such, have proceeded to dominate it. And it does not appear that the Chinese invasion that Indonesia feared, will happen, as China has just declared North Korea as natural enemy.
These scenarios are of course far off in the distance. And it is possible that ONE will want to keep the United States underfoot for a while longer, and reopen some of the wars. We should know the answer to this in the next few days.
