CP Update

Greetings friends!

First off I just want to say thank you to everyone who voted for me this election. It truly means a lot to know that you would elect me for an 8th time in our great country.

As my first order of business I am proposing to lock my opponent up and to strip him of all his assets and rights. Anyone seen conspiring with said person will face the same penalties.

Of course Im joking! I want to thank MdR for his fine campaign. I really want to highlight him actually for his contribution to this election because I think its really important. When most of us see that there is someone already running for CP we tend to gather around that one person and get behind their campaign. Almost as if we take turns giving the Presidency a shot. This was the first actual race we've seen in the last 5 or 6 months I believe since hans erik and MdR ran against each other.

Its very important to have a choice and I think that those of us who are in politics are failing the people of Norway when we don't offer those choices. Its easy to win an election when your the only one running, but when your feet are to the fire and you have to run on an actual platform things start to change.

I think campaign races can actually help to boost activity as well. So moving forward I hope that we see more races, hell not even two-way races but lets attempt to even have 3 or 4 or 5 candidates next election! How different would that be for Norway?

Finnish Training War
As our TW was only in effect for the last term I have already moved forward with discussions on renewing and changing our TW. I have already moved a motion to bring Svalbard back into the TW and instead swap it for another region which would see our income from the TW stay the same. I have of course already contacted Finland about the TW with the hopes of signing a two month deal as well. You can take part in the discussion by clicking here.

Global Outreach
Our esteemed MoFA Eraclev has already been busy and reached out to more than 20 countries letting them know that the Norwegian Government is serious about taking a stronger place in the world and that we are back and ready to aid our allies. These are just the first but necessary steps to working more closely with our allies around the globe.
