If you want more participation, then make a public poll with a google doc that everyone can access, rather than a restricted poll on a private forum.

I'd think that through Art.
All offsite forums are privately "owned" and managed, by citizens.
If you trust them, no problem, go for it.
Some of us have reasons not to trust offsite forums, due to past hacks and other creepy behaviour. 3/4 I have had problems with. The 4th I didnt register at all.
