Many have complained about the departure of Congressmen before the end of term and the lack of effort from others. Yes, that is indeed a problem. It means our number of Congressmen are effectively as low as 30 on occasions.
Unfortunately, worse will happen in the next term. Due to there being only 4 candidates in the Northwest, that means we will lose two Congressmen for no good reason. We will only have a Congress of 38 people to begin with. This is a terrible farce. It may have happened often in the past but I don't think it's happened in my time in the game. The sad thing is that loads of good candidates will lose out while 2 seats will be unoccupied.
Please do not let that happen again!

yep, i was thinking when i saw it...dame, why didn't i check who was runbning here and run two more iup guys.....LOL
it's silly but the game has some very silly errors in it.

Good point. There was a significant decrease in voters as well in that region. The last election they had 29 votes, this time only 13. Last time 10 submitted for the seats, this time only 4. Perhaps those TD who did get in can find a way to energize their voting base so that we don't see this happen again.
