Comment bait #3 - the end is nigh

I feel guilty. I really do.

Over the past week I’ve sold my soul to the devil in order to complete Plato’s infuriating journalist tasks. Every moral I previously held so dearly, I’ve crushed. Every principle close to my heart, I’ve spurned. I’ve told lies, I’ve tricked, duped and mislead people who deserve better. I’ve sunk balls-deep into the cesspit of modern contest-driven eJournalism and I haven’t climbed out. Do I smell of roses? No I do not..

And I did all this to get a paltry 25 comments on two worthless articles. Not the three articles demanded by the competition, just two. Because I’ve decided to step back from the precipice before all hope is lost, reject the trickery that got me this far, and turn my back on the competition completely.

Yes, you heard me correctly; sod the stupid competition - I laugh in its face. No longer will I allow it to twist my good spirit into unusual and unnatural positions, forcing me to offer the titillating gifs of scantily clad women that you all seem to enjoy hate so much*.

Some of you may know that I am a devoutly religious and spiritual man**, and the competition has forced me into sin. And if there’s one thing I hate, it’s sin. “Boooo to sin!”, that’s what I often say, especially when confronted by sin (or sinners). And when it comes to Really Not Liking Sin Very Much, I’m particularly vehement about not being too keen on the Seven Deadly Sins, which - as their name implies - are pretty bad.

Like Envy...



And Gluttony...



And it’s bedfellow, Greed...



Not forgetting Sloth...




Or Wrath...




And Pride...





And last, but certainly not least, Lust...
