Join the new world

The road to self sufficiency can be a long and windey one, so remembering Dan Moir’s “Ultimate Manager Calc” from oh-so-long- ago, I have made my own version that allows anyone to see exactly what they are producing both as a manger and employer with current game mechanics.

Now to make this worth the time and effort I have decided to release it to the general public.

It is currently set up for a lower level player with British Citizenship and a Q3 town hall, but it just needs a few fields (taxes, bonuses, Market Prices, etc) adjusted to be useful for anyone.

I’ll run through how it works (only the orange boxes need changing):

Basic Production Calculator

1 ) Select the production bonuses your citizenship country enjoys from the drop down menus. (This information can be found on your nation’s economy page)

-For anyone who doesn’t know it’s 20% for each type of resource associated with either Food (Grain, Fruit, Fish, Cattle and Deer) or Weaponry (Iron, Oil, Aluminium, Saltpeter and Rubber).

In the middle section:

2 ) Input the number of companies you intend to WAM (Work As Manager) into each industry’s box under the Heading “Work As Manager Actions”.

3 ) Next account for any and all people you'll be paying in the “Employee Assignments” section.

You should now be able to see (under Overall Production) how much raw material you have produced, used and left over/need to buy, along with how much HP you have produced in total and how much of each type of finished product you will have.

There is also a running tally of how many WAM and employees have been used.

Shopping List

On the right, under “Purchases”:
4 ) What quality products you wish to use
5 ) How much you already have and intend to use of the specified type.
6 ) How many Food Fights (no Wellness Kits or Energy Bars) you intend to do.

This will then tell you how much HP and how many of the specified quality weaponry you need to buy

Profit/Loss monitor

On the left:

7 ) Input the various taxes and market prices from in-game into the appropriate fields in the “National Factors” column (a gold exchange rate is needed to account for advanced training methods, Wellness Kits etc.)

8 ) Account for any extra training you have done/want to do.

On the right:

9 ) Add your salary, deduct the total you paid your employees and add up the total HP you want to buy (Wellness Kits and Energy Bars) from the special items page. This will also add more of the selected type of weapons to your outgoings.

You can now see how much you are earning and how much you need to budget.

The spreadsheet is in an excel file format.

I have protected the sheet so that you won’t accidentally damage any formulas. There is no password, so you can unprotect and edit it as you wish (probably to get rid of my helpful little hints), if you know what you’re doing.
