At first Glance....

Day 1,716, 06:51 Published in Ireland Ireland by Bean&teddy

After seeing a recent comment from Bhane I decided that this would be an interesting topic to write about so I thank him for the idea.

At first glance it looks like we have five ICA candidates, so another month of "the family" right?

...... Wrong..... In fact it's about as far from that as you can get. Lets have a look at each candidate and their main focuses/goals: (I will try take as neutral a perspective as possible) I will be giving the EDEN stance of each candidate as it seems an important topic in this months elections.

Dan Breen:

article
Dan is backed by the IPP and his main goals consist of having an NE within 2 weeks of his term. He says he will include congress and it will NOT be with UK. He also aims to bring about a debate as to whether or not Ireland should be neutral. He states how foreign affairs will be a major focus this month for him.

EDEN Stance: Neutral

Ethel Rosenberg

Ethel is running for CP with the support of the ILP, ISP and the newly formed SINP. Her main goals also include an NE to increase the amount of fun this month as well as As recent MoFA Foreign affairs will also be a major part this month for her. She would also like to focus on improving MoC and communication between MU's.

EDEN Stance: Pro-EDEN

Ronisu

Ronisu is running under IFP this month and he also intends on bringing A fun NE to Ireland. As CC of congress I believe he intends on the congress having a bigger part in eIreland. He also plans to focus a lot on MoC and as recent vMoFA, foreign affairs will also be a big part of his term if elected. Despite popular belief he is not an EDEN puppet and merely thinks that the people should decide what our stance with EDEN is rather then just our government.

EDEN stance: neutral

MrConwayTwitty

article
Conway is backed by both EA and IIP this month. He intends to extend our resources however not through war while also fighting for our allies. He would like the boycott of EDEN to continue however he states that he would leave the final decision down to the people of Ireland. he also plans to focus on improving relations with eUK.

EDEN Stance: Anti-EDEN

Marinko Margarin

article
Marinko is running under ABT this month. Marinko plans to work to get all MU's to cooperate better. He also wants to focus a lot on the eIrish Ambassador programme which he will run on the forums. He also states that he would like to focu a lot on MoC and new citizens and helping them develop in the game.
Marinko is also no longer a member of ICA so please excuse his avatar.

EDEN Stance: Neutral

Personal analysis: Well as we can see each candidate as slight differences that will each lead eIreland off in a different direction. Which direction we will take is up to you.
We can notice however some similarities. Each candidate has repeatedly stated that they want to keep the public more informed so be sure to make sure they keep their promise.
Lastly despite what it looks like at first glance this is not another "Family" election. In fact only one or 2 of the candidates would still be considered a member of the "family" for those of you who are not aware, their is currently a miniature civil war within "the family/ICA".

I will not tell you who to vote for or which side to take but what I will say is this, Whichever candidate you pick will have a huge impact on the future of eIreland so please inform yourself of each candidate before voting. Do not accept bribes or anything else telling you as to who to vote for. This is an extremely important part of eIrelands future and I urge you to vote wisely.

Thanks,
Bean&teddy
