Artaxerxes Pavonis for Congress

Day 545, 23:06 Published in North Korea Ireland by Artaxerxes Pavonis

Yes, I am rather new here. However, I have the best interests of Korea at heart. That is to say, I am not a PTO candidate, why would I need to write an article if I was pre-planned to win? Also, I come from Ireland, the fist nation to suffer a PTO, and have had a Theocrat PTO of my party a few months ago. And I don't wish that upon anyone.

I am pro-capitalism. However, Ireland has a very successful State Training Program in which we train the new citizens from 0 skill to 3 skill in their chosen domain. (Although Raw Materials isn't all too good in Ireland as it is here...)

I believe it is always a good idea to have make friends with your neighbors. Good friends can be a powerful asset when faced in the eyes of Danger. However, friendship is a two-way street. We must also be ready to help out new friends in the eyes of their Danger as well. But, when conflicts arise between friends, I believe it is vital that we stay neutral in any and all such events.

But sadly, not everyone would want to become our friends, that's when a big gun comes into play. A strong military is always a deterrent of any foe (Indonesia excluded.) In Ireland, one of our State Training companies was a weapons, for the manufacturing skill domain. Needless to say, they have lots of guns now. Hospitals and Defense Systems are also an excellent goal to the protection of NK. And I will Vote yes to every purchase of one that has been discussed prior to its vote.

Although we have low resources in NK, if it is the will of the People to protect that Industry from foreigners, I will vote yes to higher import taxes. This also goes for any and all Industries, but most important, the Food Industry. But as for Domestic taxes, I like to keep things low, enough to maintain the Training Companies and any other expanse we may have.
