1] Uzair J

I was sitting in my room, using my laptop as always, leading a very dull and boring life. Half conscious, going through my facebook news feed, I saw a post in a Pakistani page (which later I came to know was managed by TheJakal) that said, well I never finished reading the whole thing so not sure what all of it said but part of it was, “Pakistan needs you. Join now”. Pakistan needs me!! My eyes suddenly opened bright like a spring being set free from hours of contraction, my pupils narrowed, my concentration came back in full force. Without thinking, I clicked the link that was attached with the post and joined eRepublik in less than 5 minutes. Little did I know that it wasn’t Pakistan that needed me but Plato whose pockets were undoubtedly getting lighter and lighter over the period of time.
At the beginning I liked eRepublik very much. Though ePakistan didn’t have any regions than, it was a lot more fun than it is now. Activity was at its peak. Crazy articles about some DIO guy and holy sands that were so holey that they kept ripping Plato’s pockets kept coming to surface every now and then. There were constant Resistance Wars against eChina, who at that time had occupied ePakistan’s regions. We kept losing and kept fighting. A few times that we won felt like Eid/Christmas had come early.
Guess karma also works in games now that eChina is the one scraping for regions!
The players at that time were also very friendly. New players like me were given a lot of help, both financially and in terms of advice. I gained a whole new level of respect for some players for whom I would still fight till all my energy bar reserves are depleted. After that they would have to wait 6 minutes for me to sacrifice 10 more energy for their cause!!
eRepublik now is just as dull and boring as my life used to be before I joined more than 2 years ago. Lack of activity coupled with the economic crisis, because Plato is just too greedy to spend his pocket money to
.eRepublik now is just as dull and boring as my life used to be before I joined more than 2 years ago. Lack of activity coupled with the economic crisis, because Plato is just too greedy to spend his pocket money to save his own dying enterprise, is just forcing the old players to leave out of boredom. New players don’t want to join because lets face it-in the world full of tens of thousands of exciting new games, who would want to play a dull, boring game that the makers themselves aren’t interested to save? One day I would also suddenly wake up and decide to move on with my life with no eRepublik in it but until that day comes, its back to 2-clicking for me!!

2] The DarkKnight Rises

It began on a calm Friday afternoon. I was trying to Google some stuff up about Pakistan and it's military history. I was trying to be a patriot. I Googled everywhere. Here and there. Then there opened a page about Pakistan, it was from the eRepublik Wiki.
At first I was like holy sh*t when was Pakistan this great? I've probably missed out a great deal of our history if I didn't know we conquered China 2 years ago.

Then it hit me, it was a game. The only place where Pakistan can be anything other than a worthless piece of s**t it is today. I realized that yay I can fulfill the potential of Pakistan, at least in an online game, so I read a bit more. I was at the wiki, so couldn't find a link to eRepublik.

I Googled eRepublik, and there it was. Shining, glorious, attracting me. Little did I know that in the near future, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

But anyways, I joined, set up my first account with an uber-embarrassing name. Wrote some articles like "I WILL BECOME CP, U WILL ALL BOW BEFORE ME, I'M TOO GREAT FOR U TO COMPREHEND". After ridicule, I was basically made an outcast.

Then I quit. Then I became a little less socially retarded, and rejoined. And this time it was a bit better. Then I quit. Then I rejoined. Then I quit. Then I rejoined. Repeat 5 million times.

Anyways, come present day. I couldn't have asked for anything better in my life than eRepublik, other than winning a Nobel prize, getting a billion dollars, or something similar. This game made me experience other cultures and other people's lives. I understood the world for the first time and realized that everybody wasn't out to get Pakistan in RL. We were irrelevant, nobody gave a shit about Pakistan. The bulls**t we were fed "J*WS HATE PAKISTAN, WEST WANTS TO KILL YOU" all faded away when I got a dose of reality.

I realized how pathetic religion and all these ideas sounded. They were so primitive.I realized how to negotiate with people, and what to say to not offend people, because before that I insulted people without meaning to. That sucked, for them, but anyways. It gave me philosophical insight into different cultures, made me what is actually important in the grander scheme of things, made me understand the world.

eRepublik changed my f**king life, honestly. I don't think I would've been able to become tolerant of other people or anything similar had I not had such an experience in my life, especially since I used to live in what I can call to be in the top 3 worst countries in the planet, Saudi Arabia.

I then found out about other IRC servers, where discussions of philosophy, physics, biology, religion, programming and everything went on. They were a blessing in disguise.

All I can say is, eRepublik is a big part of my online experience, and my general personality.

I also regret sh*t like spending 900 euros on an account and tons of money otherwise. It made me realize that respect gained not from money is worth much more than if it were gained from money. I stopped being so materialistic, honestly.

Now I see people and laugh at them for being so primitive.

Haha, you apes.

Some of The DarkKnight Rises wonderful words have been partly censored.

3] Asjad Arshad

As y'all know me, I am Asjad. Citizen of new world. One of the active players of ePakistan. And so here goes my story, a life before I joined erepublik.

I am addict to facebook. But you know, daily usage kind of make you bored and of course you can't leave it. And now it is same with erepublik with me.

So I started working for pages. There were many. In the end I made my own: Have Some Fun Boy.

But I wanted likes!!! More likes I got more I was famous! I took a few page roles. These were my classmates.

One, he couldn't make one's mind. I asked him the reason. He said me to join eRepublik.

This person is the most famous: Humayun Mirza. I am playing on his referral.

And now, I am an addicter of erep. And he hasn't even took even one gold. His indeed trustful, on the other hand, I only have 130 likes (don't forget to like it all fb users 😉 ) And yup, only 6 months have passed for me to be super active.

Well there you have it folks I hope you read these stories and enjoyed them as much as I did and as awlays see you around!
