Apparently some people are quitting the game.

If they'd quit, that'd be news.

For like a day.

But they never quite do quit, do they? There they are, lingering around... weighing in on National Affairs as if they had never left. Which of course they never will. The attention is too much of a drug.

But they say they're quitting. Which of course sends ripples of frustration everywhere because there's this idea that quitting is inevitable and better get out before Plato takes away, oh I don't know, my keyboard or something, and the next thing you know one fake quitter has caused 60 new players to follow suit. Only the new player quits for real because they've got no reason to linger around yet.
It's mostly oldfgts that are bellyaching about how many people are quitting the game though, because it is mostly oldfgts that are pretending to quit.

Quitting must be tons of fun for oldfgts too, because some of them have done it a half dozen times or more. Is there a "Quitter" medal I don't know about?

Surely he must be an eRep oldfgt.
Here's The Anatomy of the Quit:

Get drunk or stoned.

Get pissed off at Plato.

Publish an article about how quitting is the only option.

Pass out while 44 newbies read the article and find a different game.

Wake up.

So if you've quit, shut up about it and get out.

Meanwhile there is a daily crop of new players who might just stick around if there wasn't so much damn noise about how _______________ this game is.
I'd really rather you stick around though. The game is kinda fun.
