An Interview with Her Majesty of eBelgium

Day 1,325, 09:00 Published in Austria Austria by Ludoviko la Nepreparita

I proposed a while back on our national forum as well as in an article the idea to create a eAustrian Monarch as similar to the eUK's 'Monarch Week'. Recently, the eBelgian Congress voted and established a monarchy in eBelgium. While their system is a bit different from what I had originally proposed for eAustria, they are still the second e-nation to have a monarch of some sort.

Since I have been the Director of Embassies for a few months, I have spoken to their new Queen many times before, and I am pleased to announce that She has agreed to an interview to discuss the new eBelgium Monarchy.

Jeanlouis: What are you able to do as Queen of eBelgium? What do you hope to accomplish?

Mittekemuis: I have no real powers over the country. We are a constitutional monarchy so there is still a government and a President. Although I would change President to Prime minister but that should be voted on by congress.
So what do I hope to accomplish? Bring some fun to the country. I can use my title to invite other royalty and invite high officials from other countries. Organise balls and get Belgium on the map like that.
It is also a tool that can reward citizens' great accomplishments and allow them to become part of the royalty.

Jeanlouis: How long is your term?

Mittekemuis: There isn't a time set. So for as long I feel like it or as long as Belgium wants me to be...

Jeanlouis: I heard about you setting up your Court, what kind of positions are you looking to have? What will they do?

Mittekemuis: Yes I am setting my own court to start the monarchy.

Lady/Dame: Lady/Dame
Knight: Sir
Marquise: Your/Her worship, excellence
Marquis: Your/His worship, excellence
Duchess: Your/Her Serene Highness
Duke: Your/his Serene Highness
Princess: Your/Her Highness
(Royal) Princess: Your/Her Royal Highness
Prince: Your/His Highness
(Royal) Prince: Your/His Royal Highness
Archduchess: Your/Her Imperial and Royal Highness
Archduke: Your/His Imperial and Royal Highness
Queen: Your/Her Royal Majesty/Highness

Like me they don't have a real [political] function.

Jeanlouis: Thank you so much again for agreeing to an interview, is there anything else you would like to add?

Mittekemuis: Not really, just that [this] is all the beginning; it has to take better shape in the future.

I am very glad to have been able to speak with Her Majesty, Queen Mittekemuis of eBelgium. She is a very pleasant person to deal with and the addition of a monarch in eBelgium has added to my enjoyment of being the ambassador to eBelgium.

As eBelgium as implemented a monarchy, half of my countries as an ambassador now have monarchs (eUK and eBelgium). I believe that this positively adds to the culture of the e-country and I believe that this will have a very salutary effect on eBelgium.

Thank you so much for reading.
Red-white-red, until death, and
God Save The Queen, Mittekemuis.

Jeanlouis, Director of Embassies and Ambassador to eBelgium
