An Important Lesson to Reflect On

Day 2,637, 18:09 Published in Ireland Ireland by Colin Fox
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

MARTIN NIEMÖLLER
A Protestant pastor who was openly critical of Hitler and the Nazi regime. He spent the last seven years of the war in Nazi concentration camps. He survived and spoke out for many years after the war about what happens when we remain silent. We must not forget this important lesson. "The man dies in all who keep silent in the face of tyranny." ~ Wole Soyinka

We're onto you, we're organizing, you'll be hearing from us!
