Active Congress?
Anthony Colby
After doing a little checking after reading the shout by XIIII (thanks XIIII) I have found that of the 40 Congress members in the new Congress, only 12 of them are registered on one of our two forums. There are three Congress members registered on both of them. Of the 40 new Congress members only 6 managed to write a presentation. One linked his presentation to his Twitter account and one linked it to their citizen page. Only 6 took the time to actually write something. Several just linked the presentation to a blank page. I don't have the numbers but I know that of the Congress members that are registered on the forums some have not posted in a while or much at all.
This does not say much for our nation. If our voters can't recognise the good work that people have done for them what are we doing wrong. If we can't get the people elected who actually do the work in this nation what are we doing wrong. We are still stuck in the rut of PTOs and multi accounts where the good players are cheated by those who are selfesh and only look out for themselves. I'm kind of dissapointed in the outcome of this election. Not just because I didn't win, but because of what it means for the future of eBolivia. I hope we can turn things around next time.

totally agree with your analisis... but we need an alternative and proposals to solve this.
if congressmen are not truly representative of citizens, if they are just adventurers, or simply oportunists, or rare exceptions and they will work in a good way, then we must considere alternatives.
example: 1. opening the forum debates (need to registration) to non elected citizens too, and make his opinions valuables.
2. other way is having the party leader to become some kind of senators, with proportional weight in the votations, and transmiting the voice and will of his parties.
3. forget the ingame congress and continue trying to work with the actove citizens in forums.
i think an opinion of a citizen in the forum is more useful and valuable than a ingame congress elected in a weird way, a congressman elected but unknowed and without commitment to his community, nor interested in be a part of it.
in any case, we need to do something...
It's just frustrating to try to help make things better for all and not get appreciated for it. Although I guess doing the right thing should be reward enough.
what you mean with rewarded? like a salary?
well... we can make a period article about the congressman and about his aprticipation, proposals, and actvity in votations...
in spain is a common thing every month and that is useful to the citizens to see who are good politics and lazzy...
Votado.
I will try to do my best
i just looked at who had got in then compared it with who hadnt and was just astonded...70% of them i had never even heard of before its just crazy.
@Ernesto - i think he means a reward in his consensus
Yes. The satisfaction of knowing you have done the right thing.
"example: 1. opening the forum debates (need to registration) to non elected citizens too, and make his opinions valuables."
It needs to be opened to everybody. There are so few posts and activity that every input is valuable (especially given the small number of congressman who are actually registered).
Congress forums in other countries are reserved to congressmen mostly so that the debates between people who are actually supposed to vote (the congressmen) won't be impaired by a flood of comments by other players (occasionally also because some issues debated are secret) . That's not a problem we will have now.
Totally agree. Great job spelling it out.
I'd say the opening up of the congress forum to interested citizens is a very good option. Active citizens are more useful than inactive representatives and a good idea is a good idea, no matter who brings it in. eBolivia will profit from it.
...So where do I sign up..? (Not saying my ideas are good, but I'll try my best 😉)
