A Sad Day: But Not The End
Benevolent Dictator For Life
Hello, everyone. Firstly, thanks for your support with the eIceland campaign. We really did quite well! Looking at our final total of votes, Plato knows there is a lot of support for Iceland and maybe we'll have it added when the next round of countries are added.
But, of course, this is disappointing. The next round of countries will be far in the future, and this was a great chance for us. But we didn't lose through lack of effort or determination, it was simply numbers.
Congratulations to Cuba, Georgia, Armenia and Nigeria. It's especially nice to see Africa being represented a little more, I always thought it was a shame that a country the size (both geographically and in terms of population) of Nigeria was not on the game, so I think that's a positive we can take. Commiserations to Ecuador, they too are very unlucky to have missed out.
And so, my friends, I thank you once again for your support. It's been an honour so far, and I know one day we'll all be partying in Reykjavik.

Real sorry bout Iceland not having made it. 🙁
On the other hand, with the adding of Armenia and Georgia it could get interested on the Kaukasus. I'm very curious how this all will play out!

We tried! But congrats to the other nations, like you said its good to see more happening in Africa.
Damn vote buyers.
I know.
proly that, and big countries that only work for themselves. 😛
I am really disappointed for Iceland's sake. I thought it had an excellent chance.
I can see the strategic reasons the others were included though - it will stir up things a lot.
As for Nigeria, I suspect there may be quite a lot of activity from that country - we may all be surprised.
No Iceland and Ecuador.. What the hell did they think?
I have a better chance of returning to Iceland IRL than visiting for the first time in eIceland 😁
it will be for next time
