A possible farewell

Day 2,296, 16:23 Published in Japan Japan by William of Edenbury

Despite what I said in my last article I did not expect to be writing this so soon...

Unfortunately due to a combination of my everchanging health and real life (I am graduating this semester) I am going to have to end my time as a leader of eJapan. For the near future I will still be around two-clicking at least until the next Party President Elections so I can hand off the leadership of the ULJ to its next elected president, and I might even go around visiting other countries in eRep (something I wanted to do but never got around to).

lol I honestly had the idea to write a long and emotional article for this sort-of-farewell but I do hope to continue on in this game sometime in the future, so I don't want everyone to feel that this is a final goodbye.

Many of you knew this was coming for a few days since I started fulfilling the end of various contracts, agreements, and other arrangements I had going. I do apologize to everyone though as I hate quitting anything suddenly, and that's exactly what I am forced to do in this case.

Oh well.... Since I'm largely ending my involvement in the matters of our nation, I atleast get the chance to speak freely for once without it mattering what people may think, so I'll take it and give you my final thoughts on various things.

The political parties

DNP:
Get off your asses and do some work. Seriously, DNP leadership is the laziest group of people I have ever met in this country. Members need to either elect a new leadership, have them shape up, or leave them behind and create a new party. The two DNP administrations in the last year did more damage to our foreign affairs and internal systems than every other bungle the rest of the administrations had combined. Also, some of your guys even have the more crotchety old TLS players completely beat when it comes to being rude assholes

CtG:
You need to let your leaders do the work and stop messing things up for them. The other parties have softened their stances towards CtG since the incidents with the rogue multi-account creators ended and have begun approaching your leadership. Let them handle matters and stop insulting everyone like we're still in the middle of the multi wars. As for the leaders, learn from the mistakes of the past, but otherwise stay as you are. You'll have plenty of chances to make new allies into the future so you're CP candidates will soon have the luxury of picking cabinet members from the other parties. Look for active players, they are worth their weight in gold in this country.

ISP:
I know alot of you are unsatisfied with your party as it is at the moment. Step up and get active, you will be rewarded. Squibeel has had to handle your party, the half assed intrigue of the other parties, and his constant positions in the cabinet. He's worn out and has given ISP members plenty of chances to take over in the past but noone has taken him up on the offer. Get active and you can change the party to be what you want it to be.

Shinsengumi:
I actually don't have anything bad to say about you guys lol. Keep up your hard work and thank you for all the help your members have provided me in the past. For anyone without a party, check them out, if ULJ weren't around SSG would easily be my first pick for a party to join.

TLS:
Moderate yourselves a bit and you'll get more friends, or atleast have less people that dislike you. Otherwise I don't have much to say.

*I will write a separate section lower down addressed to the ULJ because I need to leave some directions and such for them.

To the potential governments of this upcoming term

To a potential Geezus Government:

Geezus won't do anything. Whoever he chooses as MoFA and MoD, its up to you two to keep eJapan from falling further into a diplomatic hole the country won't be able to escape. Geezus will not be really give you many directions and will rarely answer your PM's so you will pretty much have the reigns of the country.

To the MoFA: For the love of all that is good, contact the other nations immediately after the elections and make yourself eJapan's channel of communication. As I've said before, Geezus has broken so many treaties and misses so many meetings with other nations that he is the single greatest liability to your diplomacy efforts that you will have. Talk to Squibeel and get an idea of what the this month's administration did and what our position on the international stage is. You will need his connections to get us anywhere so try to get him as either your vMoFA or unofficial advisor when Geezus isn't looking.

To the Mo😨 Coordinate with the MoFA and use the daily orders as a political tool. Nobody in eJapan pays attention to them, the only ones that do are foreign nations. So be very careful about what you write and how you write it. If you want to give orders to the MU's then I suggest using the a mass PM thread like we have been doing in the past few months, or switching through the MUs and leaving orders in their feeds.

To a potential Masaharu administration

I dont have much advice for you that you havent already heard lol. I suggest you keep Squibeel as MoFA and talk to Hakaisha, Arari, and Dankchronic (if he is still around) when you look for a new MoD. Otherwise, keep on with what you are trying to do and the people that you have.

To a potential Kazami administration
I don't really know your contacts so my only advice is, make Squibeel do all the work at first 😛

To the ULJ

I'm happy to say that it looks like I'll be leaving you with a strong future ahead of you. You are the top party with one of the strongest membership's in the country and according to Kami Neko's survey, there are plenty of members ready to try their hand at taking the reigns. Well gents, this is a good time to try your hand at taking the lead. Write your candidacy articles, post in the feeds and get yourself known. Even if you dont get the Party Presidency, you have a high chance of being included in the leadership or seen as a good potential congressman.

I'll still be around in two-click mode until the elections to keep things nice and stable. At the elections I will hand off the Aneki's pantry supply cache. Half will be sent to the next president and half will be sent to one of the current leaders (I'm still somewhat wary of another eYudakens fiasco occurring). So there is no confusion, the Aneki's pantry supply is as follows:

21k Q1 food

3.9k Q2 Food

6.9k Q5 food

800 Q1 weapons

800 Q2 weapons

850 Q3 weapons

700 Q4 weapons

350 Q5 Weapons

600 Q6 Weapons

500 Q7 weapons

That should mostly take care of everything. As I said, I'll still be in two-click mode so I will handle any other issues that come up until the Presidency change.

One last thing I want to say though is Thank You. Thank You for allowing me to lead you, thank your for giving me my chance to rise in eJapan's politics, Thank you for all the fun we have had together, and most of all thank you for being such good friends throughout my time playing here 🙂

To eJapan

The future of the country will not be easy, but then again when was it easy throughout this past year? You have the potential to do great things and change the course of the nation for the better. But will you?

Take it upon yourselves to do something, to change the status quo. Your current leaders are either tired or incompetent. Take over for those that have given their all and allow them to rest. As for those that cannot lead, push them out of power and keep them out. The top of the political ladder in this country does not change much, not because the old generations discourages new comers, but because you, the citizens of this nation, are unwilling to walk onto the stage and play the leading role.

You have the power, you have the opportunity, so what will you do?
