A Lesson in Constitutional Debate
Cat Boyd
Nogin's entire argument for robbing the State treasury and all its assets is that the Constitution is in effect and therefore she is granted powers to do this. She has gone off multiple times quoting the Constitution, saying what Sluagh did was illegal, and that this justifies her actions. She keeps saying "Sluagh would of have to won the Dictator elections."
Back up a few weeks before all this happened, during the Dictator elections...
^
This was in response to the fact that the Constitution clearly stated that a candidate for Dictator had to be a resident of eIreland for 6 consecutive months prior.
So, dear Nogin who loves to quote the Constitution, riddle me this "if the Dictator applicant started the game in eIreland then he/she must be playing at least 6 months prior to the election in eIreland." Guess what: you weren't in eIreland for 6 months!
Therefore you were ineligible to be Dictator. I was the only other candidate. Whether it was in effect or not, you're in the wrong and doing something illegal.
Sincerely,
Comrade Cat
Comments
Had to write an article because I get tired of bringing this up in the comments. She never addresses it.
I certainly wasn't involved in the Dictator elections, however that seems like something that should have been addressed by confronting the Committee and on the floor of Congress. I will point out that the Dictator sections also says:
"This Part can be amended or repealed with a 66%+ result of the Congress vote"
So, those clauses are still in effect even after the so called discarding of the Constitution. As the committee OKed Nogin's eligibility (perhaps incorrectly), then by the clause "The committee will verify the eligibility of all the applicants who apply and notify them" the onus is on them and not her. We know the Constitution was in effect regardless what Nogin said exactly because the process was followed of creating a Committee of the top three political parties, that committee validated eligibility and ran a referendum, the public voted and Nogin was announced winner.
Upon becoming Dictator, her primary role became constitutionally bound to protect the gears of government as defined in the Constitution, as well as limiting her to being button-pusher.
Using the same logic though, Sluagh is ineligible to be Dictator, now I suppose if he would like to make the case that Nogin is ineligible, get a vote of 66% of Congress agreeing to that fact, then we can hold a new election with correct enforcement. If at that point Nogin did not release the treasury then she would be a thief plain and clear.
Most ppl would prefer to tank against ^that garbage than attempt to navigate it any longer mate.
its called political maneuvering. ony pro nogin candidates were moved into the committee by wining the eire ainoar pp elections. cleraly shiftng ppl over. you play the innocent but we are not fooled.
says a traitor...
do you feel lonely or what. nogin is abandoning her plans go bark at another tree. court jester.
Is there proof that they voted her eligible?
wasn't it rikhian liam and another person of course they voted
The fact she was on the ballot paper...jeez is it that difficult to keep up?
But she was ineligible according to the Constitution, which is being used as defense for Nogin's theft of State assets, so either provide photo evidence that she got 66% approval or I'm going to assume it never happened.
i have difficulties now, to see how ireland will be better whatever will happen in the next few days..
all Sluagh had to do was follow procedure but his arrogance got the better of him.
He followed every eRep procedure to a t so far. The procedures you want him to follow mean absolutely zilch. They are from the land of fairytales and make believe and are absolutely unenforceable.
How dare you bring facts and reason into someone's butthurt argument.
