A heated attempt to explain some things

Day 2,465, 11:45 Published in Australia Canada by Claire Louise

Now, before I get trolled, allow me to explain the situation I'm in. Pycelle, I semi-apologise for jacking parts of your article, but things need explaining in depth and attempting to do this in comments on your article would be ridiculous. I'm not necessarily aiming all of this directly at you, just ranting. I'm using your quotes more as a general platform for those who may feel the same as you. Please bare that in mind. Also, Lany I use you as an example, not in a catty way, just because you were the first person that popped into my head - no, I'm not having a go at you.

This. Is. Ridiculous.

I'm gonna take exerps from another article and try and explain the facts surrounding each statement in an attempt to clarify things.

"Members of the Government have publicly responded that KnightHawk leaders were informed about the package. To date, our reps in Congress, our party and the KnightHawk Military Unit have either denied being informed, or in the least possible sense, denied being told the full story."

Let's respond to that, shall we? Lany is a congress member and is included in the congress PM. She is given the same information as every other congress member. They are completely aware of what is going on - whether they choose to read or ignore that information is their choice, but the information is there, presented right in front of them. They have to be informed of what is going on as they are the ones who ultimately decide what goes ahead - for instance, if they hadn't of been informed, they wouldn't have voted yes to the airstrike, would they? No. So they know what's going on.

"AwesomeSal, our other rep in Congress, has denied receiving anything due to a Government refusal by Infowar. Turns out that Infowar makes it a pre-condition to add Congress members to his eRep friends list before sending them information. It's wrong, but that's his choice and no one is going to stand up and do anything about it, making any commonsense solution dead in the water."

AwesomeSal however, is not in the congress PM. OMGWTFRDOING THAT IS TOTALLY A CONSPIRACY TO KEEP US OUT OF THE LOOP... oh no, no wait, let me stop you there. Let me explain a little something to you; In order to be added to a mass PM, you have to be on the friends list of the person starting the PM. Seriously. Go to your messages, click new message...you have to type in peoples names and only those on your friends list show up. If, for example, I tried to add Lany to a mass PM, I would be unable to as she has refused my friends request in the past. That is game mechanics, nothing to do with Infowar keeping this person out of the PM's. Game. Mechanics. The only person who had a choice in this matter was AwesomeSal. They had three days in which to accept the friends request of the CP...she chose not to add him, therefore, she is not added to the PM. It's as simple as that. And that would be the same for anyone who refuses to add the CP, not just a Knighthawks member. So to blame the CP for this is just ridiculous. You should be directing your confusion/anger/curiousity towards AwesomeSal, and ask why she refused to add the CP, despite being a congress member and surely understanding that this may be an important step. Also remember that congress members get paid to do this kind of thing. Us cabinet members don't. Let's also not forget that under the "old system", unless you were a member of the forums, you knew nothing regardless of whether you were a congress member.

"The bottom line is KHMC, as a party, have been completely in the dark on Finland, despite being the number 3 party in this country."

At no point has a party ever been privvy to insider government information. Government information is just that. Government. For certain eyes and ears only. What the hell is the point in having plans, in making plans, in organising with and contacting other nations if we're going to openly and publicly tell the entire e-world what we are doing at every single stage? It's not going to work, is it? This is how it works - Cabinet do their work, they contact people and together with the CP they make plans. They organise, they finalise, and then when everything is confirmed, congress are informed as they are the ones who vote on things like airstrike and natural enemy proposals. When the time is right, the public are then informed. The public are always the last to know. That's not unfair, that's just how it is. No single party is privvy to any information - feel free to message those in ADP and not in congress or cabinet and ask if they know anything more than you. The answer will be no. I have people who are in both the ADF and ADP, talking in the ADF chatbox asking me what is going on, and I can't tell them. I don't tell them. It's as simple as that. And infact, until it is released by government to the public, both cabinet and congress should not be discussing anything publicly anyways.

"I have written to the Australian President requesting a detailed information package, also noting there's every chance I'll be denied."

You are not congress, nor cabinet, merely a citizen. Sorry, that's just how it is. Some things at this stage still need to be kept quiet. You are no different to the other citizens of this country, you don't get special attention. Oddly enough, nobody else bar this small group of people is moaning about this. When the time is right, the public will be fully informed. During my term, the public didn't know the full truth until after we had won our AS region. It had to be that way. It had to.

"Parties are political processes that should be consulted. Who knows what would have happened?"

Oh I don't know. Let's just say that if information was made public, then the entire e-world would know, and any plans we have could be very easily stopped. That's what could happen. Or indeed if your party was told in a PM, they could easily tell someone else, who will tell someone else, who will tell someone else...leading to anything we're doing being stopped. That kind of thing can happen. As for consulting? Oh, so we have to consult the entire population? Message everyone individually, get their opinions and thoughts, let them all know? No.

As for "how much" and "how long"... The price I believe isn't set in stone yet, as for how long, well as long as we can keep them, as long as we can stay away from threats, as long as people stop pulling this "we aren't fighting there we want our core regions" crap.

"Our Members of Congress have been put into a compromised position and the Party Presidents who aren't an MC or Cabinet Member are being kept out of the loop."

They aren't compromised. They aren't meant to speak with the public about certain issues until allowed to. And yes, Party Presidents are being kept out of the loop, as they are not a part of government. They're just not. In any capacity. At all. In the slightest. They're essentially regular citizens, being a party president in terms of government means nothing.

So, feel free to scream and shout and moan as usual, it's a conspiracy, blah blah blah. Bottom line is that you're choosing to make an issue out of something that is not an issue at all. Of course I'll get the flak for this, despite not being the person to initiate it, merely being the person attempting to explain. The Knighthawks, as a party, deserve to know nothing of what government is doing, until the government decide to inform the public. The ADP, a party I created along with Hugh, deserves to know nothing of what government is doing, until the government decides to inform the public. That's how it is. That's how it is here, that's how it is in every e-country. You are not being segregated, infact the only segregation you may feel is coming from your parties actions, that's all. Sorry (not sorry) but that's the truth. I fully expected to get shouted at a lot in the comments, but it's whatever.

*No, this is not aimed at you Pycelle, just in general*
If you don't like how things have been run the past few months, if you aren't happy with the progress we're making and friends we're gaining, perhaps you should consider running for CP yourself. Put your case forward, run for CP. If you win, I promise you I'll be sat right here, giving you as much of a headache as I possibly can, calling you out for trying to segregate my party and keeping information from me. Then you can do what I'm doing right now and tell me how silly and ridiculous I'm being.

😁 Kudos to Hugh for the above image. Cmon. It's funny. You know it is.

Much love Aus

Edit:
There you go, directly from Lany. In this case, Lany is completely right by not disclosing sensitive information. It's sensitive for a reason people!
