A Bid for Backing

G'day mates, today i come before you looking for support in the upcoming ADP ballot that will decide who to support in the CP election 10 days from now. I have put my name forward for that backing and in this article i shall try and explain why.



Who am I?

A good question, to many in eAustralia i will be an unknown. Firstly I am getting to be an old player with over 2 years experience under my belt in 3 different countries, eUK, eNew Zealand and here in eAustralia. I started out the game in eUK ,as it is my real life country, and have served as vice/deputy minister in just about every ministry as well as congress 3 times. In eUK i was also a relatively successful PP of a party myself and a few other player formed. I have been to eNZ and served in congress and as vice minister of foreign affairs. More relevant is my service to eAUS, which consist of 1 congress term and my current election into congress.

As I say i have served in just about every government department you can find yourself in and congress 6 times now.

My Politics
I am liberal in my politics with no strong tendency to left or right wing politics, putting me in the middle. I have always been a strong believer in democracy and discussion, often listening to others before forming my own opinion. That said i am more than capable of standing up for my views and putting forward a good argument.



Policies

I often find with this part that very few, if any, of the list will actually be achieved or even attempted. Therefore i put forward a open ended policy that does not rely on strict targets. Due to our current position in the eWorld i believe that this sort of policy is best as it gives us plenty of freedom in our decisions in government.
So i put forward the following proposals for the September term:
1. Continue building relations with allies and those sympathetic to our cause, Finland and Norway in particular for their generosity in helping us achieve congress.
2. Assist our allies in every way we can to defeat our enemies.
3. Discuss the potential for a liberation and put a plan into place for one in the near future.
4. Set up some economic plans that will help our citizens under the current situation. A help to buy scheme is the first idea i have in which players all pay a contribution to the scheme and when a certain amount is reached a player recieves enough to buy a Aluminium mine which will provide them with increased income. This would be discussed and all options evaluated to ensure the best is chosen.
5. Establish a military council in which myself, the MoD and MU commanders discuss how eAUS can best use its military resources and solve any issues there are within the ranks.
6. I have always tried to promote better community and i would continue to do so if elected with competitions and other community events. Obviously budget constraints apply here but im sure we could work around them.



My activity

I am a highly active player who signs in every day multiple times and am therefore very easy to contact. Part of my pledge if elected would be to respond to all and every message you send to me with the best answer i can provide. I was once that young player who sent crazy ideas to the CP so i know what it feels like to be brushed off, therefore i would be more than happy to be contacted by all players on every topic. I would also plan to hold at least 1 CP question time on IRC where citizens can come and ask me whatever they like on our progress. Alongside this there would be at least 1 article a week, if not more, keeping people up to date on what the government is doing. Obviously i would not disclose any information that is to be kept secret for strategic reasons.
