Day 2618 of the New World
September 4, 2845

Last week we saw a Plato event that, within most of the circles I run in, was possibly the most well-received ever. Those of you who chose not to participate missed out on an incredible opportunity.

No, red tanks were not the real prize.

The real prize that saw unprecedented levels of tanking and damage was the most inexpensive ranking-up our game has ever seen.

Consider that for just 5 Energy Bars (plus 25 Q7 tanks), you could produce 1000 Prestige Points. (You needed to “spend” 25 Energy bars, but you’d get back 20). Now I realize that Prestige Points in and of themselves are useless. However if you have produced 1000 Prestige Points with Q7 tanks, you’ve also produced a huge amount of Rank points and XP.

The amount of Rank points is based entirely on your personal statistics. So I cannot evaluate how many Prestige Points you might have needed to accumulate between rank-ups. For instance, despite the fact that I produced 395,000 Prestige Points, because of the massive distance between Legend 1 and Legend 2, I did not rank up at all. But I watched as my shout feed filled up daily with rank-up posts galore. Many soldiers got stronger last week.

What we can evaluate, however, is how many experience levels you might have jumped.

Once you’ve reached level 27 in this game, each successive level requires 5,000 Experience Points. An experience point is earned for each shot of your weapon, regardless of the Prestige earned.

Now if you were tanking smartly during Winner Takes It All, you were spending 5 Energy Bars per 1,000 PP while increasing 250 XP. At 20 Energy Bars per 1,000 XP, that’s 100 Energy Bars per Experience Level. This is truly inexpensive leveling, and when you consider that your level-up awarded additional energy (in my case nearly 43 Energy Bars’ worth!) plus the energy recovered during the time you were tanking, the actual cost to me for each level-up was somewhere around 50 Energy Bars. That's right, 50 Energy Bars PER LEVEL-UP!!!

And let’s not forget about the 1G per level prize!

I leveled up at an insane rate last week and I love it.

But the most amazing thing about Winner Takes It All will be the raw numbers.

If you’ve tried to find details about the amount of damage done last week, you’ll notice that Plato hasn’t published any data.

So I decided to work a little Gnilraps magic.

I got Plato drunk.

And he started talking.

After the second bottle of Ouzo had been consumed, Plato started in on his second pack of DILOS cigarettes, and he started to spill the beans.

And so in a 16 Shells Exclusive, feast your eyes on the following stunning statistics.

12,492,191,449,317 damage dealt
That’s Twelve Trillion Four-Hundred-Ninety-Two Billion, One-Hundred-Ninety-One Million, Four-Hundred-Forty-Nine Thousand, Three-Hundred-Seventeen Damage.

And how about this:

3,520,704 normal Energy Bars and 243,991 double Energy Bars were consumed!
That’s the equivalent of 400,868,600 energy consumed from Energy Bars.

Those were the exact figures provided by Plato himself.

Brief Analysis
If all 249,991 double Energy Bars were purchased at 27.3G per 10, it would represent a Gold expenditure of 9,157G.

If all 400,868,600 energy consumed was used with Q7 weapons, it would mean over 4 Million Q7 Weapons were deployed. No wonder we saw, at the top of the spike, a nearly 80% increase to the cost of those weapons on the market.

I know Plato had more information he was holding, but unfortunately he passed out before I could get any further data from him. Apparently the old Philosopher just can’t handle his Ouzo anymore.

(OK, I got the numbers from a member of the eRepublik Team… but don’t spoil my fun, OK?)

The last set of statistics I’ll leave here is an important one. Considering the fact that some of the leveling-up rewards are very useful (such as the rewards you see above for level 400), and that ranking-up also has its benefits, who came out of the Winner Takes It All week… well… taking it all?

Serbian, Greek, and Romanian Fighters will have benefitted the most. So one might assume that these three nations got corporately stronger relative to the rest of the eWorld.

To have produced over a Trillion damage as a country is truly an Epic achievement, so 16 Shells tips the hat to Serbia and Greece.

Let’s assume Plato has recovered from his hangover and is busily plotting the next big event. If recent history is any indicator, we shouldn’t have to wait long...
