Dear friends and fellow eIrish,
As usual a lot of talk is happening with regard to eIreland and our relationship with EDEN.
Now my Government is a unity Government and contains members of various factions in eIreland. Included in this Government are people who wish eIreland to leave the Brotherhood.
However I read the mandate of my Government as maintaining the status-quo wrt this important issue.
So be under no illusion eIreland position, during the time and term of my Presidency will remain in EDEN. This is also the model I support at this time.
However
I am sympathetic to those who feel that eIrelands population should be consulted prior to Government's making policy.
So
I have asked the MoC to run a consultative poll in the last week of my Presidency. The results of which will inform the new Country President in the formulating of his/her policy on alliances and EDEN.
The mechimism of the vote will be the prerogative of the MoC but I would like the various options to be available for the voters to consider.
With this in mind if you have a "thought out" model other than EDEN then please pass said information to either the MoD, MoFA or myself. If the Model is an actual feasible plan it can be added to the poll.

Seriously, let's see if there are any noticeable changes in the next couple of weeks then run the opinion poll (Google Docs?) and see what the (active) people think.
Yes, the option is available to be in any alliance. But one other thing to consider is the fact that any alliance can choose not to have you (or any country) as well.
So this isn't directed only towards Ireland, but every EDEN nation. Do your part in making the alliance better. Prove that you deserve to be part of the alliance. Don't blame just a few people for problems in the "ailing old alliance" because you are also part of it. Everyone has to work together in order for it to succeed.

In the long term, it's healthier for the alliance to blame just a few ppl for it's problems.
The alternative, blaming whole nations, is far more harmful.

Normally only a few people who do cause problems in alliances; they tend to be those with a deluded perception that being in an alliance HQ means they have ultimate authority over alliance member nations. And the consequent friction with elected representatives of member nations, which then extends to country populations who elected those representatives.

From now until the poll comes will be the determining factor. You don't need a long time to show you are making an effort to better the situation. As of now, I'm swaying towards leaving EDEN, but we shall see.

MUFC shut up with your anti EDEN bullshit, you always bitch and moan about them but never do anything to improve it.
People filling in the survey should think carefully about where we would be without EDEN, some may cry over them but time and time again they have helped us. Ill be voting to stay in EDEN unless something unforseen crops up.
You shouldn't be voting for anything actually. After stealing from the treasury, you should've left the country like that other piece of shit. Your input means nothing nor should you add anything into any conversation.
Ahahah this coming from MUFC's shadow, all you do here is repeat the same Anti EDEN crap he says. I have never been proven to have taken anything, I have worked harder than most people here so yes I will be voting and my input means alot since when there is problems with Ireland and EDEN...EDEN come to me. I know more of what happens in EDEN than anyone here.
The polling question is a leading one. Its biased and will surely affect the outcome.
But since its not binding thats of little concern. Will be interested to see the results
