[Statistics] Congress Elections Analysis Week08

Day 1,559, 14:20 Published in Portugal Portugal by jotapelx

Hello,

Welcome to the new week series of statistics. Today I'll start with an analysis to the congress elections.

The Congress Elections were considered this month as a military objective. The goal was to wipe as many countries as it could during the Congressional Elections, preventing those countries to have a Congress. This objective will prevent the country to transfer currency to the national treasury from the different organizations, crippling their capacity to pay for Tanks, MUs or mercenaries to fight their wars. There are of course other countries, to which being wiped was a victory, because they are in the middle of a Political TakeOver (PTO) and by being wiped they are able to stop the number of citizenships given to the hostile takeover.

After analyzing the countries with no Congress, we will analyze the numbers of the elections:
The Total Voters, the ranking of voters and the participation ratio of each country.

The Data of this statistics is from day 1559, between 02:00 (Votes Casted), 03:00 (Regions, Resources and Population) and 06:00 (Votes Valid)

Concerning the Military Alliances there was no official changes, though the EDEN Crisis between Bulgaria and Turkey makes it a bit unstable.

In an odd status is the Czech Republic which is considered to be aligned with ONE, but their only two MPPs are with New Zealand and Bulgaria, which places it in the Neutral area.

New Zealand was erroneously associated with ONE last week, although they are one of the Founding Countries of EPIC. This information was updated to map it correctly.

The Alliances are divided in three major blocks:
- TEDEN;
- ONE;
- and Others

Since the Military Objective was to wipe as many countries as possible from the opposite alliance, the next charts will give an idea of the level of success of this task.

And by Big Alliances, we have:

The ranking of voters in the Congress Elections will give us a comparison between the countries that were able to vote and those that were not.

The Total Voters in the Congressional Elections can give us a closer approximation to the total active players in the game. It's actually very interesting to note that the participation in the Congress is bigger than in the Presidential Elections. I will not compare the number of votes between the Presidential Elections and the Congress Elections, due to the inherent limitations of this comparison. The fact that so many countries had their congress wiped does not allow extrapolating any meaningful ranking between the two elections. But we are able to compare this Congress Elections with the January Elections, since the data is still available.

Another way of looking to this election is through the difference between the number of votes casted and the votes considered valid. The interesting information regarding this view is that the average difference is only 3% of the total, although we do not have the numbers of many countries due to the fact that they were wiped.

It is also important to see that there are many countries that had their number of voters decreased in this election.

The total population vs. the voters can be displayed in the chart below associated to each Alliance.

And by Big Alliances we have

The Participation Ratio is defined by two views, the total participation ratio that checks against all population of an Alliance against the actual voters, and an effective participation, that removes from the equation the countries that were not allowed to vote because of their wipe.

And by Big Alliances we have an interesting number; both alliances have the same Effective Participation Ratio, even though the Total Participation Ratio is much lower in the case of ONE due to their multiple wiped countries.

This week I will update the Military and Economy Rankings with the data extracted today.
